「Easy accommodation options in Castlemaine. A bit overpriced but probably just taking advantage of the lack of options available, so good luck to them. The playground is run down and the pool is tiny but for a night's sleep, it was clean and functional 」

「We were initially disappointed with the lack of air conditioning although listed for the property, however following a phone conversation where our concerns were put at ease, and the property was lovely and cool as stated made it very comfortable. All-in-all, a very satisfactory stay」

「Big old trees, cottages & barn accommodation, space in between. Lovely garden area & vineyard, pool too. We were only two but this would be an amazing place to stay for groups. Comfortable, quiet, spacious dog friendly country stay. Lovely drives though surrounding areas & towns.」

「We had a wonderful stay at this property for the weekend. The cabin itself was very clean, comfortable and cozy. It turned quite cold the weekend we were there (goodbye summer), but we stayed plenty warm. There was a fire pit outside and a wood burning fireplace inside as well. After exploring the local area, we spent our evenings on the deck with a glass of wine, watching the bunnies and kangaroos in the paddock - so much serenity! Heather was an excellent host. Friendly and good...

「The layout and furnishings are basic and definitely not worth $229/night. The hot water ran out after 5 minutes, so that was pooh. Of the dozens of BNB stays, this was the only one that we felt ripped off by and think a $100 should be refunded. 😠」

「We absolutely loved our stay, everything was clean and well maintained. We stayed as 2 adults, 2 kids and our dog and the place was a great size with an even better backyard including chicken coop that the kids adored. Genevieve was lovely and courteous to our needs and was very understanding, lots of lovely touches to the place - nothing was a problem. We would definitely stay again!」

「The motel rooms on the ground floor were sufficiently shield by the hotel building so we heard no traffic noise. The beds were comfortuable and we slept well. It has a microwave, toaster and fridge with the makings for breakfast at hand. One minor downside is that there is no formal office. So. you need to call someone to check-in to your room. Similarly on checkout, you just leave the keys in your room and shut the door.」

「Pros - Immaculately clean. Lovely room and grounds. Well equipped room with comfortable bed. Easy check in process. Cons - little far out of town. Needs sound proofing - could hear neighbours every sound-(foot steps, alarm clock, talking and jug boil)」

「Lovely property, renovated (but not "restored") to high standard but modern electricals (great wifi, TV) and kitchen/baths. Spacious home, multiple eating areas, quiet street, and with a terrific host. Maldon is a charming small town and well-located to see the goldfields area. Only downside is there are only a couple of places in the town proper to dine out (Castlemaine is close). But a great place with all creature comforts.」

「We stayed here last year and again recently. Its clean, quiet and its great for dogs, the property is secure and well maintained. Inside is charming and welcoming, its clean with plenty of pretty much everything that is required. Good coffee at all the coffee stops in Maldon.」
