"We loved this property but recognize the steep walk up and 55 steps down to our room might not be for everyone. It was just fine for us because the only noise was the sound of waves against the rocks below our room. Also, communication was excellent for us due to problems with Expedia but our hostess patient and helpful. The rooftop patio was lovely with great views of the harbour. The apartment was spacious with very comfortable furniture. "

As far as booking and documentation, it was one of the easiest of all places I've stayed at through VRBO. Daniel was our booking agent and he was incredibly gracious and accommodating. "Just an incredible experience. The house is great if you are looking for luxurious Mexican feel. All the modern amenities but does not lose the feeling that you are in Mexico. Common area accommodates 10-15 people easily. Chef and staff were very attentive but still allowed you to do your own thing. Views are incredible. Location to town and beach is very good as well. Steep walk but you can walk to town in about 20 minutes or a 6 min Uber. Would love to come back!"

Hotel Riu Vallarta - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"No elevator service from the main lobby down to the restaurant level. An inconveniently located ramp is available however. Thirty steps down and thirty steps up is difficult for seniors with difficulty walking. Restrooms throughout the public area of the property are scarce, including all restaurants. Food in all restaurants is truly outstanding to excellent. Beverage service at pools and other public areas is very good. Above all, the staff is extremely helpful, almost unable to find the word(s) “no” or “can’t do”. We are currently selecting a return date in December of 2026."

"Bed was very hard. Beach beautiful. No real resort amenities not sure why they charge a resort fee: the room card on your wrist gets really nasty fast. I’d stay again but the entire 9days they didn’t change the sheets. They just kept remaking the bed. Also you have to check out an iron and they don’t give wash clothes. Not a resort more of a hotel. Otherwise not bad."
