We have stayed at Brecks Farm before, and found the accommodation just as comfortable and well-equipped as previously. It is a lovely quiet place just outside the outer ring road, so convenient for travelling to other places around York and Yorkshire and no parking problems. However, to get to York city, you need to drive in (15 mins plus usual traffic jam), or drive to Rawcliffe Bar Park and Ride (5-10 min drive) and get the free bus. There is a bus outside the farm but it's not very frequent. It is about 5 minutes drive to Clifton Moor retail park where you will find a huge Tesco for all your catering requirements, plus restaurants, home retail chains, bowling alley, cinema.
The hosts appear to have thought of everything you might need in equipping the cottages and each one has a delightful garden patio area with barbecue and outdoor furniture. They are set within a lovely rural area overlooking a pond and fields. A beautiful retreat from the hustle and bustle of York city centre. The farm is served by York taxi firms and takeaway/delivery restaurants.
