Great location, staff were excellent, bathroom was slightly tired looking but fully functioning, the family room we had was great with a king bed and a double pull out bed which was perfect for the kids, close to all the sights, would recommend and book again

The hotel was comfortable and the breakfast was of good quality. Staff were overall friendly and efficient but the staff member was going to charge me for two breakfasts. I had to point out to him that I only had one breakfast.

Booked this last minute to attend a job interview the next day as it allowed for late check in on a Sunday night as using public transport. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Great local area knowledge. Very clean room-people above me the first night were noisy but I could sleep. Amazing bathroom-loved the shower. So close to the centre of York so I could come back post interview and explore very easily into the city to see the Minstry and visit the Shambles. Would come back again

The staff were all excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The property is a little older than most Holiday Inns I've been to but very comfortable. Breakfast was good. I was disappointed that catering in the evening was very limited - my own fault for not checking when booking. Plenty of eating options close by

Average.

Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was very small considering what we paid for our 2-night stay and could do with a freshen up decoratively. Didn't eat in the hotel so cant comment on the food. There are much better hotels in York for the price paid.

Good location and comfy stay

Stayed for one night with husband. Was initially put in a room over looking air conditioning vents but moved to a quieter room on request. New room much quieter. Clean, comfortable room. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so unable to comment on that. Would stay again.

Comfortable enough, but our bathroom had a pretty severe leakage problem coming from beneath the (fully enclosed) cabinet. It looked as if they tried to repair it, but that was unsuccessful. Since the hotel was very full, we decided not to ask for a different room. Instead we threw a towel over the puddle, and carried on with our visit to lovely York!

The hotel was fine, although, the room cleaner seemed to run late and resulted in my room not getting cleaned and the free tea and coffee not being replenished. Apart from that it was fine as I use a hotel room as a base to explore my destination. The breakfast was very good and lots of it too.

Excellent place to stay

excellent hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was excellent with nearby parking. Swift check in, nice clean room with everything we needed. Breakfast was fantastic. Definitely would stay here again. Close proximity to the city centre.
