The fundamental issue with this hotel is that it has no air conditioning. I stayed for two sultry June nights and got very little sleep due to the heat. Despite the heat, the room was supplied with not one but two heavy duvets when just a sheet would have been sufficient. The staff did provide me a fan, but I found it loud and annoying.
Putting that to one side, the room was ok, if rather dated. No slippers were provided. I always find it incredibly annoying when hotels scrimp on slippers. I do not want to walk around bare foot on dirty hotel floors, thank you! I’m not suggesting that the floors weren’t cleaned, but floors, particularly carpeted ones, are never going to be 100% dirt free.
The hotel was relatively cheap for Zurich, but still ludicrously expensive for what it is.
Breakfast is extra (I had thought it was included, so be careful), but the offering is very limited and not worth the money.
