“The hotel is a very convenient pit stop if you’re travelling through the middle of Spain. It’s right next to the motorway however this was no issue and we weren’t disturbed by road noise. The food in the cafe was very good and reasonably priced. Our hotel room was clean enough… however there was a bit of an unpleasant odour emanating from the bathroom. (Somewhat like stagnant water). We opened the window and vented the room and it was bearable after that.. I would add the smell never truly……

“The owners were incredibly helpful & kind. The apartments were perfect for a short or long holiday. There is an Aldi, Lidl & other supermarkets within easy walking distance. Shower had plenty of hot water, bed was comfortable. Car parking on street was great. About a 20-minute walk to the aqueduct in Segovia, it was easier than trying to park in the city. Air con in the room worked flawlessly. La Lastrilla, is a lovely area, with local shops, bars & restaurants. I rarely go back to the same……

“Buscando un hostal pequeño cerca de Segovia, encontramos este a unos 20 y pocos km de la ciudad, en un pueblo llamado Carbonero el Mayor, de fácil acceso y fácil de aparcar por la zona. La recepcionista fue muy agradable y atenta, las habitaciones son amplias y muy limpias, aunque no tiene unas vistas destacables, pero tiene una pequeñita terraza donde poder sentarse al fresco si te apetece. Apenas pasamos una noche, pero sin duda, es totalmente recomendable.”
