Buchan Hotel

Clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good. But I didn’t like the front door being locked by 8.15pm and the outlook from our room (a wall, maybe a couple of metres from the window.)

1st choice

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast and evening meals are good. And when I am in the area again would be my 1st choice to stay.

All of the staff were so lovely, really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, without being overbearing. I was initially a bit worried when I arrived as the bar was busy with loud music but it was turned off by about 11. The cost was very reasonable too but I would say the staff made it for me.

Mixed feelings about this traditional country hotel. Staff were amazing, friendly and efficient. Dinner was great, good quality, good menu. Breakfast that was included in the rate was generous, well cooked and reasonable quality for price. The rooms though!!!!!....very clean with spotless linen but are in need of some updating. Dingy, no pictures, no plug beside bed to charge phone, cold water tap on sink didn't work until suddenly came gushing out late morning, mirror light on the blink, couldn't get TV to work....but worst of all mattresses are terrible, soft and springey, terrible sleep. A few minor upgrades are all that are needed

A nice hotel conviently situated

While the single room I stayed in was a little on the small side it was perfectly clean and in v good order, the food was very good and served by exceptional staff
