"A wonderful location, beautiful view, spacious room. However, our room's thermostat was not working and we could not lower the heat. Nor could we turn off the heat from blowing. It was evening time when we realized this and needed to go to sleep. The room windows can only be opened a couple of inches so cool outside air could not be meaningfully brought in. We contacted guest services who said other guests in the hotel were reporting the same issue and a maintenance worker would visit the room very soon. After an hour and no visit from maintenance, I called guest services again. Guest services apologized and would send a maintenance crew right away. Already a long story, the bottom line is maintenance could not fix the problem, the provided a small fan to move the air around. I addressed this with guest services the folling morning at check-out. I was told because we prepaid through a third-party (Expedia) and we did not have other incidental charges to the room, the hotel could not provide us with any compensation. This was a less than acceptable experience."
