The check in was very easy and the kitchen had everything plus more. The place was very clean and comfortable! We had two little girls with us and they loved having toys and books to keep them occupied. Our adult sons and grandson played risk. A few more bath towels would have been nice. Would highly recommend for a larger group.

Accommodations were good except advertised 12 person capacity. Only sleeping spots for eleven and most are double/single or couches. Pretty cramped for adults. Also, sunken living room caused near falls twice. Shortage of bedding/sheets/pillows

Was clean and comfortable for three individual adults using all three bedrooms and even though listed as pet friendly did not have any type of pet odors. Backyard and four season porch was nice and quiet. We were not doing any lake activities this trip so having easy lake access was not an issue. I would recommend this property as a good choice for anyone looking to visit Alexandria.

Cozy and comfortable

We were in town for my father in law’s funeral and didn’t want to stay in a hotel. The house was less than a mile from my inlaw’s and 10 minutes from the church. It was clean, comfortable, and had 3 bathrooms so it wasn’t a struggle for all of us getting ready in the morning. We didn’t get to stay long and enjoy the fireplace or 4 season porch much, but we will definitely be back.

Kitchen, dining and living areas were great for our family to enjoy Thanksgiving together. Lots of beds and baths. Nice to have two separate living rooms. Reba is a great communicator, was very accommodating.

Great get away!

This spacious rental home is a great spot to congregate with friends or family! The decor is very cute and simple. There are three living room areas to hang out plus dining room table and high top stools at the counter in kitchen. Kitchen was well stocked and appliances were great. Quick and easy access to shopping and the winery. Reba was an excellent host. We had a small issue with a fuse blowing and she replied quickly with guidance. Highly recommend!

we had a group of 9 ladies staying overnight. Clean home with plenty of space. Comfortable beds, even the blow up mattress was comfortable. Before we arrived I had reached out to the host several times and always received a prompt courteous reply. thanks for a great stay.

Our stay at Darling Lakeview was perfect ! The house was exceptionally clean and our host provided everything we needed . We had a weekend of delicious food , wine and even dessert. We all loved the abundance of natural light that all the windows allowed and the cozy fireplace in the evening. Thanks again for a fantastic stay !! :)

Family get together

We booked this property to get cousins and our kids together and hang out in the Alexandria area. There were four adults with 2 children around the age of 2. It was the perfect size for the 6 of us! There was supposed to be another family of 4 joining but they were not able to make it. The house still would have accommodated all 10 of us! The host was very kind and responsive in a timely manner when communicating and also allowed us to check in early, around 2 pm. The house is beautiful and very clean! The kids felt right at home which was great!

Perfect for family get away

This is the best vacation rental I’ve ever encountered. The pictures and descriptions are very accurate. The house is clean, well put together, and smells nice. Having multiple living rooms was perfect for a family staycation. It meant that we could operate with two different vibes at any time. The beds were incredibly comfortable, seating was supportive for people in larger bodies. The location is beautiful as well. We were lucky enough to be there on a foggy, frozen morning and really enjoying looking out at the lakes. This was a great stay and we definitely plan to return!
