The hosts did a great job making sure everything is in order and all amenities are available, including coffee, tea, fruits and drinks in the refrigerator. The kitchen has plenty of light and windows making it possible to eat a quiet lunch while gazing at the foliage outside. The sleeping accommodations……

“Everything was great! The vicinity to all of the Gettysburg monuments and downtown Gettysburg was wonderful, the beds are comfortable and check-out/in is very simple. There are plenty of places to go out for dinner and that.”

“Our family had a great time here. The kids had so much fun running through the yard, sitting by the fire pit, and watching the stars. It was great to disconnect from TV/Internet for a weekend. “Our stay at this beautiful home was great! The host stopped by to greet us shortly after our arrival and was very attentive. The rooms were larger than we imaged from the pictures. The welcome book included directions for check out. We would definitely recommend this home for a relaxing country setting. ”

“The house was exceptionally clean and the host was a true delight. Mr. Calvin was extremely helpful when the coffeemaker didn't work. He supplied us with a new one and insisted on providing us with coffee the first morning. He also helped us figure out how to watch the LSU football game. We also enjoyed the animals on the property, particularly the donkey.”

“Everything was as communicated. Nice farm property. Not far from Penn State Football game - which is why we were there. 3 rooms accommodated 5 people just fine. Quiet, safe, clean. Worked for us. Kid complained about Wifi, but phones had 5G so not an issue. Highly recommend.”

“The Happy Hen was the perfect spot for my wife and I and our two children, aged 10 and 6. Minutes away from the battlefield, with a very convenient Dollar General just down the road, the HH was cozy and delightful. We intend to stay again in the future.”
