We simply couldn't ask for a better place to stay! From the moment we landed in Niue, Avi was waiting at the airport ready to shuttle us to the accommodation. The accommodation itself is a simply stunning home away from home, with all the amenities you require (and more!). The fridge was pre-loaded with food items that we hadn't thought to bring, such as butter, jam, juice, eggs, etc. Cooking was a breeze, with pots, pans and oven dishes of all sizes, along with all the utensils you require (plus cooking oil, salt, pepper and the works!).
The views from both upstairs and downstairs are simply amazing, and we were lucky enough to see dolphins from our deck one morning.
Equipped with an air-con unit, ceiling fans, and windows with mosquito screens, it is easy to keep cool inside. We ended up only needing to use the ceiling fans, whilst keeping the windows open for airflow. The bathroom is lovely, with a huge shower and all the essentials plus extra (including bathrobes, slippers, shampoo, body wash, laundry powder, etc).
We did have a slight miscommunication regarding the car hire that's available through the accommodation, but we were provided with a tidy and compact 4WD, and we definitely considered this the most convenient way of getting around the island. Despite the miscommunication, the ease of having this vehicle to use during our stay was definitely a huge positive!
Overall, we both really enjoyed our stay at Lau's Getaway, and most definitely recommend it!!
