"Quiet and off the beaten track. Wonderful stay."

"A maneira como nos trataram é um escândalo. 8 pessoas alugam uma casa no meio Portugal, fazem uma viagem de carro durante 2horas, com os carros cheios de comida, bebida, gelo e roupas para passar 3 noites e somos completamente deixados ao abandono pela VRBO. Mandaram-nos arranjar um hotel às 10 da noite para 8 pessoas e deram-nos um budget ridículo para encontrar casa à última da hora para passar as seguintes duas noites. Ganhem vergonha! Queremos o reembolso e indemnização por todos os danos...

"The host is very attentive and eager for you to enjoy your stay. We liked being in the country. The kitchen is well equipped and the property is very close to a big grocery store. I think this location gives you good access to nearby areas (Serra Mamede for example) well as the points of interest in Portalegre. We really enjoyed the textile museum. Aida provided us with jams, oranges, and croissants for breakfast. It was a nice stay."

"An oasis for someone on a Portugal driving trip. A place that is air conditioned, own in suite laundry private pool and wood burning barbecue area. A great spot for us to beat the heat. "

"Parfait endroit pour partir en escapade et aller découvrir l'Alentejo. Très belle rénovation, on se sent très bien dans cette maison !"

"Nous avons aimé, la maison est bien situé et intime en même temps. Très belle propriété de campagne, belle vue du château. Nous avons été bien reçu par Louisa et Joao. Ils nous on guidé pour les activités local. Merci beaucoup pour ce beau séjour."

"Correu lindamente, estacionamento á porta, limpeza da moradia excelente, sem barulho e o anfitrião 5 estrelas. A casa tem uma excelente localização."

"We loved staying here. The view of the sunset and of the vineyards from our rooftop seating area were spectacular. It is a beautifully appointed place, and Teresa, our host was so accommodating. Met us with a home-made orange cake and had many suggestions for the area. We hope to return sooner rather than later."

"Beautiful clean home in the country. Enjoyed the space and had a lovely time. The beds were a bit hard and could have used bigger and more pillows. Although there were lots of wine glasses, we could have used regular drinking glasses"

"The hotel was nothing short of beautiful.The receptionist was very accomidating, nice and helpfull. We had a delicious dinner at the hotel resturant, and on top of the tasty dinner with unique dishes of the area, staying at the hotel will earn you a 10 percent discount at the resturant. The river right next to the hotel was a great and fun place to hangout with family and their was a very easy access to it through the hotel. Would definently recomend a stay here."

"The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the Castelo de Vide. The building is dated but everything is very clean and tidy. The room we stayed in was very basic. Few electrical outlets, no cupboards or drawers for our clothes and poor lighting, but the heating worked and the shower was wonderful. The breakfast served was outstanding. This hotel is good value for the money."

"The hotel is in an excellent location with good views over the rural landscape. The decorations are getting a little tired but it is still OK. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The one surprise that we had was that the only food on offer in the restaurant was local peasant food with no written menu available. The food was good but basic and we had no idea what it was going to cost us. The walls between the rooms are very thin as we could hear exactly what was going on in the neighbouring rooms!"
