Amazing place, amazing people. Saw deer, cats and dogs. Def my spot when I’m spending time in Modoc County. Close to the 4 corners market that has an incredible fresh fruit selection and a decent beef jerkey selection as well.

Very much a budget motel. The first room I was offered had not been made up and looked like someone was living in it. Linens were on a pile on the bed, there was trash on the counters and food in the fridge. Staff was helpful and moved me to a new room upon my report, but indicated the new room was also not ready and asked me to come back in 10m. The new room had been made up, but lacked basic amenities. There were no lights in the room aside from the overhead can lighting. The bathroom lacked towel bars and there was no toilet paper provided. Nor were staff available to provide toilet paper. I had to find the housekeeping room and locate my own. No soap or shampoo was provided. The clock in the room was unplugged and did not lend itself to a clear method for setting the time. There were crumbs and trash on the floor and in the drawers. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and there was a large TV in the room, with adequate programming.

Room was not ready so we canceled the reservation upon arrival with the managers approval and assurance our payment would be refunded but so far it has not been returned. Now manager will not answer phone calls or respond to inquiries. Stay away!

Sure it’s not exactly the cutest place we’ve stayed in but the staff was helpful and the room was fine! Special thanks to the young man who was at the reception, he did a great job welcoming us and was ready to help!

Good for the money

Outside of hotel was very dated. The room was meant to be lived in as extended stay. It was very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast nearby.

I would rather sleep in a pig sty than ever stay at Modoc Inn! Bathroom door only attached by the bottom hinge. Blood on the sheets. I brought it to the attention of the front employee? Didn’t care. Window was so dirty you could hardly see out. I guess it’s a good thing, because what I could see? Old mattresses piled up. I paid for 3 beds with an up charge. Got 2 and no refund. I would have went elsewhere, but the whole town was sold out! I wouldn’t waist your Money. Horrible Horrible Motel!!
