WOW. Firstly, yes there are 183 steps to the property but the first 107 are straight up and then everything after that is a couple steps with landings and short walks inbetween. There’s also a hill to the stairs BUT they have free luggage service that they provide to help you get your suitcases up to the villa. That being said, the 183 steps are worth the absolutely breathtaking view (pun intended), the staff there are so sweet and helpful, and the rooms were so cute and clean and wonderfully maintained!! The breakfast was also perfect, it’s not a huge buffet style but had all the right things we needed to fuel us before a big day of walking and boating. Genuinely the cutest, most comfortable, clean and beautiful place I have ever stayed at!! Some helpful tips: when you get to Amalfi port/center. Don’t lug your stuff up the hill like we did!!! Walk to the Cathedral just like feet into the shopping area. You can’t miss it, it’s the church looking building with the millions of steps in front of it. And then in front of that cathedral will be a little blue minivan type of bus that’s the inter-town transport. It costs like 0.50 euros and it should say “Valle de mulini” on the front as the destination. This bus takes you through the center and up the hill a bit. When you get on, ask to be taken to the paper museum “museo del carta”. This is where the meeting point is for Villa Zagara to take your bags. Wait for the bus!! There should be a schedule online somewhere.

El trato de la host Luana, fue ESPECTACULAR, nos sentimos como en casa. Luana desde el inicio fue muy atenta y detallista al recibirnos y durante toda la estancia lo hizo muy especial. Estábamos de luna de miel y ella arregló el cuarto para recibirnos de forma increíble. La vista del lugar no lo obtienes en ningún otro. La comida que se sirve es DELICIOSA. Sin duda volveremos a este Hotel. Bonito lugar para vivir la experiencia Amalfitana.

Villa Zagara es una verdadera joya escondida en Amalfi. Rodeada de limoneros, con unas vistas increíbles y lejos del bullicio del centro, pero al mismo tiempo súper bien ubicada para disfrutar de todo. El lugar es precioso, tranquilo y tiene un encanto muy especial, pero sin duda lo mejor son Luana y Pasquale, que te reciben con una calidez increíble y realmente te hacen sentir como en casa. Se nota el cariño y la atención en cada detalle. Un lugar especial al que definitivamente volveríamos y que recomendamos muchísimo.

Die Villa Zagara ist im Verhältnis zu den Abbildungen eher schlicht. Das Frühstück war nicht sehr reichhaltig. Es gab im wesentlichen Obst und süßes Gebäck. Der Nachteil an der Lage ist, dass man zu Fuß vom Zentrum von Amalfi einen größeren Anstieg mit etwa 200 Stufen zurücklegen muss. Das war uns nicht klar. Das Gepäck wurde uns freundlicherweise abgenommen und mit einem Lift hochgebracht. Die Umgebung der Villa ist schön, es gibt Zitronenplantagen und den direkten Zugang zum Valle Delle Ferriere.
