Tranquil Lake Shore Home with Great Views
This is a cozy little home that sits very close to the lake's shore. Enjoying morning coffee on the deck gave us the opportunity to hear loons and see eagles. We had access to kayaks which were easy to launch from the shore onto the tranquil morning water. Seeing the mist rise off the water, unveiling views of the beautiful mountains in the background, would bring peace to the most stressed out easterner.. Sitting by water, the house is understandably a bit musty (but not at all smelly) and the rooms are small. But as we were spending our days exploring the area, the house was perfect in size and comfort. Clean and neat too!

Great lakefront property
Convenient location for exploring the Quinault rainforest and beautiful beaches. Enjoyed watching the bald eagle family and a raft of river otters while sitting on the deck. The property had everything needed for a great vacation!

Didn’t Want to Leave
Beautiful place, so peaceful and serene. Sitting outside listening to the birds and jumping fish was wonderful. The house is lovely, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Had a quick dip in the lake and it wasn’t even that cold. Great location for exploring the park. Truly wish we were staying longer.

Amazing location
The location of this cabin directly on the lake is outstanding. The outdoor space and outdoor amenities are 5 star. The deck, fire rings, beach space, kayaks etc are terrific and where we spent most of our time. The cabin is small but suitable. The small AC unit was appreciated as it was unseasonably hot while we were there. The rooms in the cabin are all small but expected. There is working laundry but the WiFi is unreliable at best (not unexpected given the locale). There were some small communication issues with the owner but they were taken care of relatively quickly and the owner was responsive. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Wonderful Stay!
I wish we could have stayed longer! I will try and come back sometime. There is a creek alongside the property and a very nice deck and beach. The house has everything you need and is very clean.

Amazing scenic views
Words fall short when trying to describe looking out over the water and seeing the fog clinging to those mountains. Leave your windows open at night and the sound of trickling water will relax your whole group.

It was a dry place to stay
The cabin is extremely basic for the price. Not worth it compared to other VRBOs I’ve stayed in at comparable prices. If not for the views and surrounding area, we would have left early. There was no pepper or condiments, some measuring cups/spoons but best to bring your own everything if you will be cooking. The washing machine doesn’t work. When I called the owner (after sending a message and text), I was instructed to “find the sweet spot” with the water valves to see if I could get it to work. Net-net, bring more clothes than you think you might need. The internet does not work and cell reception is spotty. There is a small Verizon wifi box that appears to be broken; this was a bummer with two young teenagers in tow. All of the beds are hard(!), pillows are flat, and sheets are thin. Prepare for some aches in the morning. The worst experience of all was interacting with the owner. She started requesting the final payment a week before it was due, following up 3 days later with another request for payment - still before it was due. After our stay was over, I received an additional after-charge for a “pet fee” (should have been part of the total charge?). When I asked about the charge, she asked me if I paid it and then followed-up with two additional payment requests within one hour of each other. This struck me as extremely odd and unusual behavior - very strange and unsettling. We travel a lot and use VRBO quite often - this was by far my worst experience mainly because of the way the owners communication made me feel.

Home was clean and comfortable. The important things were clean. Maybe hadn't been dusted for awhile. Never could get tv or dvd player to work. We had a nice experience even though. Crazy weather made it an adventure. We would go back.

Cozy winter base for Olympic rainforest walks
We were four adults staying at Cottage Cove and loved it from the moment we walked in. It's even nicer than the photos, with a spectacular view of Lake Quinault. Since we were staying there in mid-December, I was a little concerned about how quickly and well the heat would work, but the propane fireplace comes on with just a flip of a switch and warms the house very quickly. The kitchen had all the utensils, pots, etc., that we needed (maybe bring a sharp paring knife). We cooked all four nights - it would have been tough to find places to eat out given the winter season and Covid closures. Beds were very comfy and it was so nice to wake up, come out to the living room and see that incredible view. We used it as an easy base to get to the Quinault Rain Forest trail over by the Lake Quinault Lodge, and the Maple Glade Trail just down the road a few miles from the house (this was really spectacular trail, very short, we highly recommend it). We did a day trip to Kalaloch Beach and the Hoh Rain Forest Trail, which was easy and we were back before the December darkness set in. The house has a wonderful deck and a little lawn with picnic table and chairs that would be great in warmer weather. But even in a cold December rain, it's beautiful. Overall great trip and great place to stay. Thank you!

Simply Perfect Getaway
The property sits right on the Lakeshore. The view is amazing in both the morning and evening. There’s plenty of hiking in the area or you can just sit and read or talk. The cabin was immaculate and we will definitely go back. Highly highly recommend

We have been to Lake Quinault several times but have always stayed in a hotel. We decided to stay in a VRBO and we're pleasantly surprised on how easy it was to rent. The view was amazing and the house was quaint and cozy. Just what we needed! We definitely will be back!

Last summer getaway with family in town
Enjoyed our last summer getaway with family in town at Lake Quinault. Kids and adults took the kayaks out a few times; they had plenty of life jackets for us to use. Loved sitting on the back deck sipping beverages and feeling the calmness of the lake. Kitchen was small (but what do you expect in a cabin) so being able to expand outside with the grill was great. We adventured to the other side of the lake to take a hike and also go visit the large sitka spruce; followed that up by driving around the lake (there is a nice roadside waterfall with rocks for kids to climb) but beware that some of the roads are gravel. Definitely would recommend this cabin!

Nice slice of heaven.
It is beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. Very easy to get to. Plenty of parking and the view is awesome. It is a little tight so if you're really tall or generously proportioned, you might find some challenges. There was no washing machine as advertised, but it wasn't really a problem. My family had a great time here and would definitely stay again. Just know the lake is on a Native American Reservation. So you will need a special fishing license and if you bring a boat/kayak, you will need a special pass. The rental does have several kayaks to use and they came in very handy. Also I believe the beach property is shared. But when I was there no one besides my family used the beach.

Absolutely gorgeous!
What a gorgeous place to stay!!! The house is clean & comfortable, the location is perfect & serene, the beds are comfy & the property is just gorgeous!!! The only thing I would mention is that the fire pit is shared & located on the next door neighbors property (also owned by this landlord) but since there was a family staying in that house too, it felt weird to use it. But there were so many other things to see & do on the property, that it was a minor upset.

Hello I'm so glad you had a nice day at cottage cove. Sorry it wasn't clear about the fire pit, there is a larger fire pit on the property next door as we are still cleaning the property from high water in the winter. But there should be a fire pit lined with rocks out in front of cottage cove as well. Also a fire pit can be made anywhere on the lakefront with the rocks that are on the beach

Pros - location!! - view - use of kayaks, picnic tables, etc - nicely stocked kitchen with necessary utensils for cooking Cons - host is a poor communicator (ignored messages from us prior to arrival, including one about an allergy.) - in spite of the large deposit, I had to inquire about and still didn't get for a long time (we left on April 28 and she initiated our deposit refund on May 12) - cheap bedding/pillows (on one bed, anyway, I didn't ask my family about the others) For the price, these cons are a bit surprising.

Tranquility at Lake Quinault
Compact property with tremendous views of the Olympics and direct access to Lake Quinault. Nice seating options on the deck and closer to the lake. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. It’s not a fancy property but suited our needs perfectly. Listening to Slide Creek at night was very soothing. The washer and dryer are small/compact sized, suitable for a few items at a time, but not large loads. Good selection of cookware, had everything we needed for multiple full meals (B, L and D).

Lake Quinault Quiet
This was our last stop on a week long Olympic National Park trip and it could not have been more perfect. This house was the perfect place to relax and wind down after hiking and visiting beaches. The house is very well equipped from the kitchen to the bedrooms. The view is gorgeous and was the perfect backdrop to sit with a cup of coffee. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely three nights on Lake Quinault at this house. The views were outstanding even when the weather was poor. We lucked out with one day of sunshine in March which was great. Great outdoor area out back. I do not recommend this for more than one family, as the one bathroom and tight living area would make it less comfortable. Also, a little clearer understanding of the kayaks and where Everything is located and specifics in the shared arrangement between the houses. There was a nice family in one of the houses that wasn’t sure if they were allowed to walk across our property to get to the beach and I told him of course they could. Great stay

Pictures don't do this place justice. The beach was pure bliss for our pooches! They were more than tuckered out after running amok on beach. Checkin was seamless and communication was spot on for zero issues getting there and getting in the house. Plenty of room for two. Walking in it smelled like bleach which made us happy even though that sounds weird...it was comforting knowing it was clean and everything was spotless upon entry.

Great stay!
Beautiful property with an amazing view. Loved the cozy cabin. Close to beautiful trails and a short drive from the beach. I would just add that you may want to bring some kitchen basics if you plan on cooking (we needed to get olive oil and salt). Luckily there was a small market nearby, so it was not a problem at all. Hope to visit again during the summer!
