The mighty Lake Windermere is just 1 mile away, with lake steamers, water sports, wildlife walks and mountain biking opportunities available in and around it. Venture to the western side of the lake, where Esthwaite Water (6 miles), Claife Heights (6 miles) and the wonderful Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's House (7.5 miles), offer plenty to explore. On the opposite side of the tranquil water, the twin towns of Bowness (6 miles) and Windermere (5 miles) also provide plenty to discover, with walks in Grizedale Forest (8.5 miles) and up to the top of Orrest Head (5.5 miles) easily filling your time.


With a spacious outlook, rooms flooded with natural light and homely décor throughout, this three-storey cottage offers a warm welcome from the moment you arrive. Head up to the first floor to find the open-plan living area. French doors in the lounge open onto the balcony, where the distant sound of Stockghyll Falls makes every morning a delight. Sip your coffee in the living area with plush seating and a Smart TV, or gather around the dining table in the bright, well-equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are arranged across both floors. Downstairs, a ground-floor double bedroom greets you on arrival, complete with an en-suite bathroom. On the second floor, you'll find a twin and a double bedroom, both featuring slanted ceilings and skylights that draw in plenty of natural light. These rooms share the family bathroom, complete with a large walk-in shower.


Step through the patio doors onto the raised first-floor balcony, where you can spot wildlife in the surrounding trees and listen to the soothing river below. Outdoor seating on the decking provides the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening sundowner. At ground level, private parking for one car is available in the garage - medium sized car only
