CHECK-IN: I had some glitches. The blond girl at the reception desk wasn't much enthusiastic, welcoming, organized. My passport was left at her desk without her realization. I was glad to remember and came back an hour later to ask her about the passport, which was under her pile of paper.
ROOM: too small, I hardly had any rooms moving around. I guess that's what I paid for. I couldn't tell how small the room was in the pics. Bathroom is clean, but also small. The sink was badly designed. It was too small. There's a glass shelf that is installed right at the level of my face when bending down. If I couldn't bend down to wash my face in the morning, then water would be spilled all over the floor. Shower curtain is also flimsy and water overflowed out the floor after each shower. Shower does not have a barrier to prevent water overflowing out to the rest of the floor. Walls are not sound-proof; I could hear conversations somewhere, but I was sound asleep to be disturbed.
HOTEL: Very small, steep staircases, slow elevator. If you take the stairs with heavy luggage, be careful not to fall.
BREAKFAST: Plenty of delicious choices. I love the raw cake of butter and jams. There are many 'organic' breakfast choices in lieu of packaged ones that you could get easily at the supermarket.
LOCATION: Excellent location right in the middle of the bustling. 7 minutes walk from the train/central metro stations. Easy walk to the boat tour, Damrak business street. 10 min. walk to National Monum
