Overall it was good. Loved the free parking. As I found in my 6 week U.K. holiday everything was great, except for some of the ripoff expensive car parking. Staff except the cook was friendly. Thankyou White Hart.

Well I will start by saying staff were very friendly. The hotel is very tired poor decor hostel quality bathroom although large. Parking was a nightmare very packed and unorganised. Good central location would use again and pay more if it ever gets refurbished .

Probably one of the worst 3 star hotel bedrooms (room 12) we have ever stayed in. The bathroom was terrible, ceiling paint was peeling off, shower seal was broken causing the floor to flood, toilet roll holder was hanging off, soap dispenser was broken, door handle did not work and signs of damp or roof leak staining on the ceiling. The bedroom was no better, window was rotten and could not be opened. Paint peeling off the window and radiator, black mould on the window catch, provided fan was broken, wallpaper was showing signs of damp and the list goes no!!! Spoke to duty manager and wanted to show him the room defects but he said he already knew about the faults! So why had they not been fixed? The duty manager did apologise and processed a full refund but Marston’s should be ashamed of letting rooms to this totally unacceptable standard. The whole property needs to total refurbishment. Avoid staying here!

This was an old pub/hotel so had that lovely ambiance. It was comfortable and clean; the staff was friendly and helpful. But the room had plaster patched that needed to be painted so looked unattended to. The breakfast was unexceptional & expensive. Other than those two things - it was fine for the price.

The worst place I’ve ever stayed. Painting coming off the walls, uneven and creaking floors, carpets that look like they’ve never been changed or cleaned properly. I know the pricing is affordable, but we booked for 2 nights and only stayed for 1 due to how poor it was. If it’s somewhere to stay after a big night out then okay, but other than that I would entirely avoid.
