「We loved everything about Seven Oaks - parking was plentiful, room was very clean and large, restaurant was convenient and delicious - but the standout feature was the helpfulness of the staff. Aisling and Declan welcomed us in and made us immediately comfortable. Hospitality is taken seriously and we were very appreciative.」

「Close to town of Carlow」

「Really had a very comfortable stay. Room was comfy and a good size. The staff were incredibly helpful and the hotel passed my 'plumbing test'. The shower was fantastic.」

「Kilkea Castle was a wonderful stay. Last minute we booked a room in the Lodges; unfortunately, the actual Castle was all booked up. This didn’t lessen the experience though. The lodge room was clean, comfortable, well-appointed and had a fairway view. We were also able to use the facilities in the castle itself. We weren’t there to golf and that was just as well as the course was closed for maintenance. As a golfer the course did look like a premium course, and I’d love to go back for...

「We lived the quietness and the fireplace for reading.」

「This was a great place! The car park was around the back of the building with plenty of spaces. The room was clean and well maintained and the bed was comfortable. We ate in the bar restaurant and the food was delicious. Our waiter, John, gave us excellent advice on things to see and do in the area and Trish, one of the managers, went above and beyond with hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again.」

「Basic but functional room. Check in was fine but a man of few words.」

「clean and spacious room.」

「The pool is shared with a gym and for folks who are from the US you need a swim cap. The desk staff was perfectly helpful but there is no information about amenities in the room and they don’t provide any info about what you can do in the hotel. The front desk ladies all seemed brand new to the job though. Room was nice though.」

「We checked in and discovered our room didn’t have a bath, we were swapped to a room with one immediately, not a problem to the staff. The room was clean, spacious and the bathroom was also spotless. Bath and shower were separate, water pressure was fab and hot water always available no matter what time of day you were using it. Mini fridge, kettle, coffee machine with pods, hair dryer, iron and ironing board all provided. Breakfast selection was plentiful and hot food was replenished regularly....

「Everything very nice, lovely ambiance」

「The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. The Pub was full of great people and Matt was super friendly.」

「The property was clean and tidy and presentable when we arrived, with a welcome hamper which was very nice. However upon inspecting hamper I noticed that it had been chewed which rang alarm bells, it was only through the night that we discovered mice . We told the host and were give mouse traps to use. Mouse droppings obviously in abundance throughout property. In a week of staying 5 mice were captured. I would not recommend and would not stay again.」

「Not advertised as located on 3rd floor with no elevator, 1 of 2 toilets did not work, 1 shower worked about half the time, beds were terrible, clothes dry did not dry clothes. This property was over priced」

「Property was very nice and the setup was wonderful. Separate sleeping bathroom areas for both couples with a central living areas. The owners were very nice and accommodating.」

「Clean, warm and the made to order breakfast was great.」
