Check- in and out went smoothly. The home and surrounding area were very peaceful. Only reason for lower rating would be that we did not participate in skiing, therefore were unable to verify/deny this selection. The home was very clean and inviting, main beds were comfortable.
This house suited our needs beautifully for two moms and their adult daughters. Everything was clean, nicely appointed, and very thoughtfully set up as a home rental.
Top ratings for this clean, modern, beautiful home
We rank everything a 10
One might give a 10+ had they added lamps to the living-room and string lights on the back deck
Loved our get away. Property was clean and just what we needed. Ate in, went out. Even saw momma bear and her cub feasting in. Neighbors garbage. Suggestion. There are no ice trays and made making getting ice a challenge. They are cheap at a dollar store. Why not provide a couple? Also a lamp is needed in the living room. The overhead lights are too much, but need something. Maybe a floor lamp in front corner. We enjoyed and would consider rebooking. Thanks!
Home was very well stocked. Grocery store was nearby. The location was good, within 15 minutes my friend and I were downtown, toured the Arts District, Biltmore Village, took a ride North on the Blue Ridge Parkway for spectacular views and went to a nature center very close to the home. I must say the audio tour and the gardens of the Biltmore Estate was the highlight of our visit.
Suggestions: GPS works perfectly to find the home and for directions; Tips would be good to find free TV; offer a better list of restaurants, sports bars and take out. Repairs needed on a seam on one of the throw pillows in the living room and the lantern led is not working, There should be a covering on the front door because you can see right in at all hours.
This home was exactly what my family and I were looking for! It was my husband and I and our three kids ages 16, 13 & 10. Can’t say enough positive things about our experience! Neat, organized, clean. Ample blankets and pillows for all. Starter supplies for the essentials you’d need in case you don’t have time to stop at the store before checkin. Smart tv’s in every room, which is necessary these days! My only suggestion would be to add some larger stock pots, pans, strainer and serving platters for preparing and serving family meals. Like some other reviews mentioned, there is some light road noise because of where the home is situated next to the road. It was not super noticeable during the day and it would not stop me from staying again in the future. However, if you are a light sleeper, I’d recommend bringing your white noise machines to help dampen the road noise during the night. We will definitely rent this home again when visiting Asheville in the future!
Meet all expectations this home was just as pictured cleaned very spacious for us beds were very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone and I will be staying again!
Our stay was wonderful and all the little details were great, including a Bluetooth speaker that we had forgotten to pack.
Only complaint would be the couch bed. Sinks in the middle, would be nice with an actual bed since it is in a private room.
The house was amazing, as were the amenities. It is evident that the hosts were thinking family friendly for this place. We had two toddlers and were amazed that they provided kids eating ware in addition to games/fire pit for the adults. It was very clean and we loved the location. I highly recommend this property to anyone in the Asheville area!
I visited Asheville with my college girlfriends for a long weekend and we so enjoyed this property. It was impeccable when we arrived, beautifully decorated, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The location is far enough out of town to enjoy the mountains but within driving distance to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore. Highly recommend!
Beautiful property. It had everything we needed. I didn't like the glass door.
We had an amazing time, this is a beautiful property with all the amenities that we need it. The only thing I didn't like was the front door at night I felt like we had no privacy. Overall everything was perfect.
10am check out is a little too early...and outside lights are too bright ....possibly heavier shades to block light.
And missing a coffee grinder...
Thanks ...we had a blast.
Came to visit Asheville with my parents and son for 2 nights and this vrbo didn't disappoint! Very clean and super cute place!
I slept downstairs with my son and my parents slept upstairs and did mention some road noise in their room but I didn't hear anything on the second level. That's the only complaint we had, the bedroom that leads to the patio does make some noise when trying to open but that's an easy fix! Overall highly recommend staying here! Thank you!
Our family had a wonderful getaway to Asheville for Christmas & made even more relaxing with this modern little cabin. Long Grass View was exactly as it was protrayed -- very CLEAN & tidy & comfortable. Well stocked kitchen, (I definitely appreciated the extra detergents provided.), comfortable beds, & the house has a good functioning layout with the two extra bedrooms downstairs. It was very COLD the first few days we were there so I was worried about freezing pipes, but we had zero issues. My husband loved using the back porch to relax on.
Management was fairly easy to communicate any questions or concerns with which I really appreciate! This place is about 10 minutes west of downtown Asheville and once you get used to the curves, it is easy to get around to places! We had the best time!!
Overall this property was lovely; not too far from Asheville, very new and very clean, tastefully appointed, has pretty much everything you'd want in a rental home (with a few minor exceptions, noted below). I would absolutely recommend staying here; it was a great property. My complaints are very few, and very minor, but I'll mention them in hopes that they get rectified for the next visitors! We were really missing having a full-length mirror somewhere in the house; there was definitely room for one (or many!) so I'm not sure why they didn't put one in somewhere, but alas. We also wished that there had generally been more hooks in the bedrooms and bathrooms. There was also no ice maker, nor were there ice trays, so we had to go buy a bag of ice; not a biggie, but just something we wish we'd known / something they could easily remedy with a few ice trays. Lastly, we wished they'd had a few boxes of kleenex around.
Exceptional, in most ways: My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights on our way back to Ohio from a South Carolina vacation. The property was very well appointed and had everything we could need. The design was pretty, serene, and carefully/cleverly done...it fit a lot of function into a fairly small footprint and even small details were thoughtful. It was a nice surprise to see full-sized Mrs. Meyer's cleaning products and a pretty fig candle...like we were staying in a friend's place. The bed, too, was wonderful. I don't know what brand the mattress was but it was great. We have stayed in many vacation homes and this was the first time it felt like all of the 'appointments' were so shiny new, we wondered if we were the first to use them. (Maybe we were!) I'm picky about cleanliness and we like to stay in nice places and the property fit the bill in both regards. I would recommend it and would stay in it again. Given the quality, we intend to look for other properties managed by the same company as well. Also, Asheville is a wonderful city and the geography there is lovely.
For full information: Since it's not clear from the photos, be aware that the house sits on a moderately busy street with a smallish front yard. While there are no businesses around and the road has a rural feel, there is some traffic noise. More importantly--at least for now, in mid-May--some construction work is underway on nearby properties. On the back deck and in the evening when it is quieter, it is serene.
