Spectacular views!

We enjoyed our stay in this cute mountain cabin. The views were incredible and it was easy to find. The beds were comfortable, but be warned you need to bring your own sheets and towels, which is not made clear when you book. The floorboards are a little squeaky and there are no comfy chairs outside to sit and admire that gorgeous view from, but apart from that, it was very pleasant. The kitchen is well stocked and the place was immaculately clean. Philippe was a very welcoming host.

Wonderful property with spectacular view in a quiet (there are some cows mooing) and bucolic remote setting, yet only about 25 minutes from Lourdes. Host Philippe was always available and met us at the property to explain things. Large main floor with kitchen, sitting area and powder room, washer and large glass doors. Upstairs, 3 bedrooms and a large bathroom with shower. There is a deck with table and chairs overlooking the valley and mountains which is where we spent our afternoons, just soaking in the views.

A perfect Pyrenean refuge

The property, the views and the host were simply superb. It's the perfect location for just sitting and staring out over the valley below to the Pic du Midi de Bigorre in the distance OR as a base camp for great bike rides, hikes and marché hopping. The only warning, applicable mainly to US visitors, is that you are expected to bring your own bed sheets and towels. Highly recommend; we hope to return soon!

Le gîte de Philippe est idéalement situé pour accéder à Lourdes, aux commerces à Pouzac, et les environs regorgent de propositions de randonnées.Nous avons passé une semaine dans un cadre reposant, le gîte est très agréable à vivre avec la grande pièce commune du rdc cuisine/salle à manger/salon, et la vue sur la chaîne de montagne, on ne s’en lasse jamais !!Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Ideaal gelegen huis met prachtig uitzicht.

Na een zeer hartelijke ontvangst door Philippe, die ons de weg wees in het ruime huis met prachtige tuin, hebben wij 9 hele fijne dagen gehad. Wel was het goed dat we in de reviews hadden gezien dat we zelf voor lakens en handdoeken moesten zorgen, dat is niet duidelijk in de advertentie. Het huis ligt ideaal om de midi pyrenees te ontdekken. Lourdes ligt ook om de hoek. Sommige zaken in huis mogen wellicht wat gemoderniseerd worden, maar je hebt hier echt waar voor je geld! Zeer aan te raden!

Gite très agréable et fonctionnel

Très bon accueil de Philippe qui a pris le temps de conseiller sur les choses à voir ainsi que les randonnées à faire. Le gîte, situé en pleine campagne et dans un cadre verdoyant, est très bien équipé et dispose d'un petit terrain, très pentu et sans vis- à-vis, joliment fleuri et arboré. La terrasse, exposée sud, est très agréable avec sa vue sur la vallée et les montagnes (dont le Pic du Midi de Bigorre). Le seul petit défaut, qui pourrait gêner ceux qui ont le sommeil léger, est le plancher de l'étage qui grince beaucoup. Contrairement à beaucoup de gîtes, les photos ne sont pas trompeuses. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour de deux semaines et gardons cette adresse pour un prochain séjour dans cette belle région.

Rustig gelegen in mooie omgeving

Helaas viel het weer tegen en konden we pas op de voorlaatste dag van onze week de Pic du Midi en de bergen erom heen zien. Het huis is ruim en minder donker dan op de foto's lijkt. De omgeving is heerlijk rustig. De buren in het huis er vlak naast waren er niet. Op de weg langs het huis komt alleen lokaal verkeer.

Je recommande vraiment ce petit havre de paix face au Montaigu et au Pic du Midi ! Parfait pour être au calme mais proche de Bagnères et Lourdes. Louez les yeux fermés.

Viel Platz auch für 6 Personen (wir waren nur zu zweit). Sehr abseits gelegen, daher sehr sehr ruhig. Kurze Wege zu den Highlights (Lourdes, Bagnères-de-Bigorre, Pic du Midi, Cirque de Gavarnie, etc.). Terasse mit tollem Blick zum Pic du Midi de Bigorre. Komplett ausgestattet. Erholung pur!
