It's a wonderful hotel, located at the center of the city. All major tourist attractions are close by. All the stuffs are wonderful. I will highly recommend Tasos for his extra ordinary customer service.
Absolutely loved City Circus Athens. Staff was amazing and knowledgeable. Charming hostel with a heart of gold. Perfect for a solo traveler. Highly recommend.
I cant recommend staying at a better place.
The rooms are lovely, great ambience, always an evening event, if you want to socialise. Friendly staff. The restaurant serves delicious food and drinks. I will stay again next time im in Athens.
Thankful they do luggage storage for early arrivals. Staff is very helpful and caring. Nice ladders for top bunks and large lockers in the room. They provide usb for each bed, however mine did not work.
First time staying in a hostel and it was great. Really nice common areas with great amenities. The attached Zampano restaurant was convenient for breakfast daily and actually really good. I stayed in the deluxe mixed 4 bed dorm. Mixed for 2/3 nights of my stay. No issues with noise, lights, etc. Excellent location for walking the city. Acropolis is about a 20 minute walk (to the ticket booth). Metro station about a 10 minute walk with carry on and a roller bag. Lots of great places to eat, drink, shop and such. Very lively area at night just a block away.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
The location is solid because it is near alot of restaurants and bars. However the hostel itself is very boring. The buildings outdated/creepy. Floors creak. If you are on the toilet for longer than 15 seconds still the lights will cut off. Cleaning staff comes in the morning regardless if alseep and just starts talking loud/changing sheets etc. wouldnt stay here again tbh. I went over to yellow square it was night and day difference.
I had a wonderful stay in the City Circus Hostel ! The place is really well located, you are able to enjoy all of the citie's treasures by feet.
The rooms and common parts are clean, the lockers in the dorms are big, and it's possible to get a really good vegan/ vegetarian breakfast !
Special mention to Tryphon (or Triphon), who welcomed me, and helped me a lot during my stay (it was my first destination in Greece) ! Thank you, and go on with those professional and human qualities :D
Quaint place- in a nice area bordering the Psyri / Monastiraki square areas. The hostel was close to a lot of nightlife, restaurants and specialty shops but I found myself walking 10-15 minutes to Plaka everyday for most of the sights and attractions (so 4/5 for location). The building was historic and had a lot of character but also suffered from creeky floors and thin walls which wasnt necessary a bad thing- just part of the experience. My favorite part of the room was having the balcony doors open during the morning and afternoon to let the breeze through. Overall a very comfortable and clean hostel with a diverse mix of guests. We saw older couples, college students and even a family with children in the common spaces. The staff were all exceptional and I look forward to staying here again if/when I return to Athens.
I slept here one night in Athens. I arrived early in the morning and they were able to store my luggage for free! The front desk staff was kind and helpful, going way above and beyond to help me with things like getting my mobile services working and selling me outlet adaptors that I did not think of purchasing in America. The rooftop terrace was nice with an acropolis view, although the sun sets on the other side of the town so if you’re looking for a sunset behind the acropolis, this is the wrong hotel for you. I had a private room which was clean and outfitted with what I needed. There was an elevator to combat the stairs which I was grateful for. It is close and convenient to everything which is a double edged sword: on one hand, I walked 15 minutes or less to everything in Athens that I wanted to do. On the other: I was woken up when the drunk people exited the bars singing around 3am. Even when the front desk called the police, it was close to two hours before they stopped. I wouldn’t stay here again, but it’s 100% not their fault.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms, comfortable bed. Quiet area with only half a block away lots of good food options and refreshments. Easy walking distance to the square.
Highly recommend this place. 5 stars all around
