Lotus Centre Hotel – the heart of the city centre

I stayed for 4 nights in this hotel during the period between the X’mas and New Year Eve. The location of this hotel is a good value for money (though still a bit costly) because it is very close to the Monastiraki metro station, one of the most crowded areas of the city centre. There are a lot of restaurants, eateries, bars and shops nearby. Even if it is in the evening, the area is still very busy. In other words, you have to be prepared that there may be some sounds which may interrupt those who have difficulties falling asleep without complete silence. The staff is very helpful and they would ask if you need room cleaning service even if you are staying inside all day long. Just some minor stuff --- the room is a bit too dim with just a few lamps. There is no curtain in the bathing area so water would definitely spill out while you’re taking the shower. Also, the flush of the toilet wasn’t strong enough. The chair was without any pads so it can be quite uncomfortable if you sit on it for long time using computers. I would have no reservation recommending this hotel to you, with the rooftop garden and the massage center open to service in 2018.

Good location and warm service

Located near monastraki station and a few minutes walk to Acropolis and other heritage. Warm service at reception. Breakfast is included in my hotel charges. It's great and the environment is relaxing as the start for a good new day for traveling.

Large room with clean and convenient spot. It's 2 mins walk along the station, sightseeing tourist bus and restaurant. But not much special with any hotel compaign

the range of breakfasts was ok, however the 'hot' breakfast was always cold as the means of heating the food, two candles was a waste of time. The location on a main road was a little noisy 24-7 and the graffiti was everywhere. But the hotel itself though small was clean, comfortable and a great location for access to what Athens has to offer

Ein richtig schönes Hotel, super gelegen, alles fußläufig erreichbar. Das Zimmer war freundlich eingerichtet und groß, ich hatte einen Balkon zur Straße hin-super! Die Rezeption ist 24/7 geöffnet und immer hilfsbereit und freundlich, so wie alle Mitarbeiter des Hotels!! Frühstück mit Blick auf die Akropolis war super, Zimmer wurden jeden Tag gereinigt. Ich empfehle das Hotel in jedem Fall weiter und ich freue mich, wenn ich wieder in Athen bin, wieder dort Gast zu sein!

I would not recomend this hotel

The area around the hotel is dirty, very dirty with homless sleeping around. We had a room so small that was difficult to move around the bed. we were not comfortable there On top of it, after bokked for 7 days there, at the end of our trip we wanted to stay two more days at Mykonos and cancelled two of the three nights bokked at Lotus. However they were not willing to reinburs us the two night we were not using. Very disapointed with this hotel.

Super convenient location—just a 1-minute walk to Monastiraki Square, the metro, and tons of food and things to do. Breakfast was included and a real highlight, with an amazing view of the Acropolis while we ate. The staff were so friendly and even arranged an early morning airport transfer for us. Couldn’t have been easier!
