Das Personal war freundlich und das Zimmer war sauber. Für das Frühstück musste man ca.5min zu Fuß gehen , ist aber sehr gut ! Die Gegend wirkt zwar nicht einladend doch ist man innerhalb von ein paar Minuten auf einem großen Platz .. Wir waren 3 Nächte , die anderen Gäste waren teilweise Nachts sehr laut da man sehr viel hört aber für diese Preisklasse darf man sich nicht viel erwarten . Das große Negative war und ist der fürchterliche Gestank im Badezimmer! Hier hat es stark nachdem Duschen nach Abwasser und Kanal gestunken , in der Früh war es katastrophal, die Reinigungskräfte haben täglich Flüssigkeit in den Kanal geschüttet und mit Duftspray ein bisschen Besserung geschaffen. Scheint hier ein gängiges Problem zu sein .

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, etwas unsichere Umgebung aber toll als Ausgangspunkt zu sämtlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Sehr zu empfehlen ist das Frühstücksrestaurant Picky, nur wenige Minuten vom Hotel entfernt. Das Personal ist super freundlich und die Zimmer sehr sauber.

The staff was professional, informative, pleasant, and helpful to arrange transfers. One person in particular at the reception area was Myleta. She made us smile everyday starting with her infectious smile every morning when she greeted us as we walked through the lobby. She made sure that we had everything we needed and gave us good advice on where to go, what to see and how to get there. All of the staff were cheerful and pleasant. What we really appreciated is that the hotel location is just outside of the tourist area meaning less crowded with tourists and more authentic food as well as local people eating and singing at the restaurant on the street level below the hotel. We had a chance to meet and talk with Athenians living in the area!!!! We would definitely stay here the next time we visit Athens.

PLAY Theatrou Athens is fantastic. Rooms are very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The rooftop bar has a spectacular view! I loved being able to easily reach hotel staff through WhatsApp. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The neighborhood around the hotel is diverse and vibrant, convenient to all popular Athens attractions. It is also well situated for exploration of off the beaten path sights. When I return to Athens, I definitely will stay at PLAY Theatrou again.

The room overall was great , clean . Around the area it has a lot of old buildings and lots of graffiti, but that’s all around Athens . The place is safe the people around are nice and it’s safe to walk around . Loved that 2 blocks away you have the tourist area lots to eat and shop . It’s only like 20 mt. Walki from the acropolis. And you have the view of the acropolis from the roof top ( very nice ) definitely would stay here again . Make sure you get your PIN number to enter the hotel before you arrive . That’s something I don’t know . But luckily there was someone coming out when we got there , it was at night .

We check in late at nite and got scared with the surrounding areas but inside of the hotel is okay. The lady who checked us in was very nice, she made us feel comfortable. The view of Acropolis at nite from the hotel rooftop was awesome! In the morning we walked around the area and found so many stores, restaurants close by. Even Monastiraki and Plaka is just walking distance. 2 kind ladies in the reception desk (named Marinela and Constancia, I hope I got their names right) helped us a lot when we were trying to find taxi to get to the airport due to transport strike? They made sure the taxi we got was okay to get to the airport. My impression is good about the hotel and people who works there except that we didn’t try to go out @ nite anymore for our safety. During the day, its recommended to walk around the area.

The staff was amazing here.... especially Constantina and Nykos! The room was nice and they have a lovely rooftop bar! The hotel was super convenient to everything we wanted to see and the hotel even arranged transportation for us from the airport and to the ferry. I highly recommend this hotel!
