“I needed a space to write my dissertation This was a a great place for me to focus. It's truly a cabin in the woods tucked away, but close to the fire department and a gas station. I was a little surprised to see 2 other cabins close by, but no one was there while I stayed. Cabin is equipped with all the things you need to function. I would just say the propane heater fumes were hard for me to deal with. I had to keep the window open a lot Also, the throw blankets had dirt in them. Housekeeping……

“First, we visited the cabin in February when there was a bunch of snow on ground with more falling. This was a trip with our puppy (his first trip). He loved playing in the snow and the property had a nice loop around the back that was easy to take him for a walk without having to go somewhere. While there are neighbors in site, they are far enough away that you can walk a dog without them being distracted by neighbors. The cabin had everything you need for a visit and then some. We stayed out by the fire pit deep into the night and were lucky enough to hear a great-horned owl in the distance. “First of all this cabin is perfect for your snowmobile adventures, that was our entire intention to rent this place. Everything was spot on and amazing, the comfort of the furniture and bedding was a 10 plus after a long day of riding. “I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful getaway location and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. Despite the unfortunate closure of the trails, the location proved to be perfect for a relaxing retreat. Trailering to the top of the hill provided breathtaking views that made up for any disappointment about the trails being inaccessible from the house. “Great cabin - clean, comfy beds and very quiet! Only complaint was the house water had an awful sulphur smell and we couldn’t drink it. Even taking showers & brushing teeth was unpleasant. Would suggest getting a whole house water filter and then the property would be 5 star!”

“Lovely stay at Henckley Reservoir. Emily & Kim(s) gave nice attention to detail like the waters and snacks available for excursions. We rented a pontoon boat and Andre was a great captain showing us around the lake first. Loved having a clean private beach to ourselves and the paddleboards and kayaks were easy to use. The view afternoon and evening was lovely including the loons. Thank you so much! Cabin was very comfortable and clean and up to date.”

“We loved the property and once we got sorted out about being able to bring our dogs everything was great. The area is lovely and the fenced yard was a plus. The house was comfortably furnished and well stocked. Eclipse day was cloudy but we were able to get views from the back yard. We used extra days to explore some natural areas, awesome and I got to hang out with both my sons and DIL in a roomy house on a beautiful lake.”
