Palaces in Aveiro District

"Hotel was in quiet area not far from River. Very nice breakfast with many choices. Room was clean, good size bed, staff quite helpful. Not sure if AC is available in summer as temperature control only had heat ( April) . Parking was limited near hotel but could provide in mall not too far or on street. "

"Loved the historical charm of the Palace! The room was a little small - couldn’t open the wardrobe all the way because it was too close to the bed. The bathroom was a good size. But the plumbing needs to be updated - the water pressure in the bathroom sink starts strong but then quickly weakens; the water in our sink smelled and tasted like old metal. The water in the shower did not smell/taste as bad, nor in the public water closets in the lobby. The bed was too firm and uncomfortable for our bodies, but we took it in stride. The walls seem thin, so we could hear neighbors walking the hall and bathing. Room television had limited channels and none in English, so a little disappointed that I couldn’t catch up on world news. Only Wi-Fi is in the bar/lounge. Above is not to complain, but rather to inform other guests what to expect. I would visit again because: * The staff were all very friendly and helpful - front desk, bellman (?), bar, and restaurant. We did not interact with housekeeping but they seemed pleasant from what we overheard. * The continental breakfast was fresh and plentiful. * Dinner in the restaurant delicious. * There is so much to see on the forest property and it is so peaceful and beautiful. * The young lady at the Convent reception desk was so sweet and helpful. Again, the first part above is to prepare others for staying. It is definitely worth staying at least a couple nights. We will return someday! Obrigada!"

"Room was clean n very comfortable! Staff were wonderful and very friendly and helpful! The upstairs bar and lounge with lovely terrace was relaxing, well stocked and offered a beautiful view of Aveiro, In all my many travels this hotel was the most friendly and most relaxed we have stayed in. Loved our time here!"

"Hotel de diseño con vistas estupendas al Duero. Tiene dos piscinas pequeñas, y un gimnasio y spa también pequeños, pero suficientes. El restaurante Raiva ofrece una comida y un servicio excelentes. El sumiller, Pedro, se portó especialmente bien con nosotros, explicando los vinos de la región y teniendo un trato muy amable. El hotel ofrece diversas actividades, como paseos por el Duero, excursiones, etc. Un lugar estupendo para relajarse y desconectar unos días."

"Safe, easy parking for €8/24 hours under the hotel. Perfect! Spacious, quiet, comfortable rooms Helpful reception staff Lovely courtyard - sun umbrellas would be needed here in the height of summer! The only downside was the lack of tea & coffee making facilities in the room. I really missed this though the staff did provide hot water to make my own on request. "

"Hotel is in the good location and outside of location looks good like palace. Lobby reasonably ok. But room is very very small, inside room , the ambience is not good. Small cell like feeling. I observed one bug crawling in the bathroom. Shower gas shampoo and conditioner only, but no body soap inside shower. We had to take hand wash / body wash liquid bottle from sink area to shower area. "
