“Had a great time in the San Luis Valley. The area is very quiet and peaceful. It is far enough away to be remote but close enough to get to everything. Clean comfortable and quiet. Great for kids and families ”

“The cabin was in great shape. The seating was just right; especially the reading area. The king bed provided a restful sleep. We spent time on the deck watching the hummingbirds and the occasional parade of wild turkeys through the meadow. We also took advantage of the nearby rainbow trail for hiking. Our stay was exactly what we had hoped it would be. Looking forward to a return visit.”

“This place is lovely and has great views as advertised and is as appears in the photos and description. Some other things we appreciated: no contact/keypad check-in, good quality and very comfortable king size bed, thick and absorbant towels, amazingly abundant ice machine for endless glasses of ice water on hot days, incredible view of stars, everything on one floor (so no up and down and no loft beds with downstairs bathroom), lots of cooling fans and portable air conditioners, spacious living……

“Blue Elk is an excellent stay. Vrbo and especially Tracy, the host, were helpful in making reservations and preparation. The site has all the appliances and supplies of home in good working order. The location is breathtaking. We loved the wildlife (although watch out on the road!) and (mostly) quiet, cool weather in late July, but warm blankets too. A great time had by all.”

The thoughtful design, welcoming atmosphere and amenities that met all our needs are beyond description. I want to highlight that the owner spared no expense in providing only the best brands and quality for every item in the home- from the hairdryer to the coffee machine to the high end dinnerware.
