The view from the top floor room was the best part of the stay. The air conditioning unit was not efficient and was noisy. The room stayed quite hot, and felt like the air was stagnant. The breakfast provided was adequate but nothing exciting.

This property is older and a little tired around the edges but it is very well looked after, and the grounds are beautiful. Our room was comfortable with a beautiful view overlooking the water and a little problem we had was solved immediately. The breakfast was simple and good and the staff were super friendly and helpful as well as being very hard working. It is an easy walk into town and a variety of good restaurants, an ice cream shop, the waterfront, and numerous gift stores. There's a Coop in town at all sorts of entertainment. I would certainly recommend this place as a reasonably priced and comfortable stay.

The plastic Adirondack chairs are unsafe. Although there are a number of new ones, there are a number (over 20) old faded yellow ones that are cracked and unsafe. I personally had one break on me while sitting down causing me to injure and scratch/bruise my lower back. The manager only said sorry. The upper rail looks in poor repair and I would avoid leaning on it. The buffet food is not recommended for the round eggs and sausage meat as two of my four guests ended up with upset stomach and sick later in the morning from eating. I was expected to return for three different visits as I’m a local Tour guide, I have since cancelled these bookings and wrote a letter of complaint with no response In my opinion, I would avoid.

My mom and I stayed here for one night on our way to Cabot Trail. It was perfect for our purposes. The room was very clean. The complimentary breakfast had good options. The staff were all very friendly. I'd definitely book again.

We arrived at 10 pm and were assigned our room very quickly. Parking was very close to our unit. The room was large with 2 double beds, 2 arm chairs a table, wardrobe and fridge. The beds were comfortable but a bit soft from use. Breakfast is offered in the morning, egg, sausage, cereal, coffee, tea, juice and toast. Sadly all that was available was paper plates and plastic cutlery and cups, even though we could see proper dishes on the shelves. The property seems like it needs some upgrades and updates.
