The cottage is in a fabulous location overlooking Bala lake and offers a lovely walk into the town which has every amenity that you need. Great for exploring the local area and to admire the ever changing scenery. Welcome pack and cream tea on arrival was superb. Owners were very friendly and helpful.

All aspects of renting this cottage was seamless. Met the owner upon check-in and she was amazing. Basket of goodies and a scone with clotted cream and jam was a complementary delight. Highly recommend this cottage.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. The owners could not have done anymore. They made us and our dog feel so welcome from the cream tea and hamper of goodies to recommending places to eat and visit. They always had time for a friendly chat. We sat out every day on the terrace with a coffee enjoying the amazing views of the lake. Short walk to town which had everything we needed and lovely walks around the lake. Thank you Eleri and Gareth for going the extra mile. When we return to Bala we will definitely be staying at your lovely cottage. August 2020 Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Fantastic cottage owners are lovely people and make you very welcome and they have a fantastic cafe next door. The view from cottage balcony is exceptional and sitting out with a cold drink watching the world go by absolutely the best.

What a beautiful find.

What a beautiful find. Even in October we sat out in the evening on the terrace with a view of the lake at dusk. Warm, welcoming & cosy cottage. Had everything we needed for our break. The welcome we got from Eleri was wonderful & we were amazed at the welcome food pack that made arriving all the more special. Very good quality too. Our dog had a wonderful time & was made as welcome as we were too. The location means that it's a great spot for sightseeing other parts of Wales & was it was a bonus that it was a short walk to the village for shops & lovely pubs. Thank you for letting us stay, we would definitely come back but for longer

Very welcoming, and spotlessly clean. Great quality bedding and towels plus lovely charming accessories left to be used. We were greeted with a lovely table that was laid out for afternoon tea, so nice. The views across Bala water are stunning. The accommodation is also well placed for easy acces to to town

Y Bwthyn has been the perfect place for our holiday.

Y Bwthyn has been the perfect place for our holiday. The owners really made us feel welcome and added thoughtful little extras that made our stay extra special, like the afternoon tea with scones jam and clotted cream, plus gift of Welsh goodies. They gave us really helpful advice too and always had time for a chat, without being 'in your face'; we felt like we had our privacy and space. The cottage is so clean and comfortable. It was well equipt too, having everything we could want throughout. The appliances, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery etc all looked pretty new. Furniture was very comfy, especially the beds. Our dog was made to feel very welcome, but despite being pet-friendly, there were no traces of other dogs etc having stayed there before. I would recommend this place to anyone with or without a dog. As clearly stated, the steep stairs to the upper floor might not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties but it wasn't a problem to us and it just added to the charm and uniqueness of the cottage. Location was fantastic and views of the lake amazing every day. It was a treat to be able to walk around the lake with the dog, right outside the door. There's also a lovely walk along the river with a good paved path which comes out at the other end of the high street. The leisure centre next door is good and easy to join for a short period. There are a good selection of pubs, restaurants and shops just a 10 minute walk away. We really enjoyed food and coffees at the Loch Café next door, which the owners of Y Bwthyn also have. The cakes and ice-creams are definitely a must!

Wonderful stay, couldn't have been made more welcome. Cream tea on arrival together with a hamper of goodies. The cottage is lovely and cosy and fully equipped, we've never been to a place that supplies absolutely everything you could need. The view of the lake is amazing and it's only 15 mins walk into town. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend it.

We had a fantastic time, thank you. We were welcomed at the property by the owners who gave us a quick tour of the property then left us to it (and they left us a welcome hamper!) Lovely property, very cosy, beautiful views of the lake and hills. 2 min drive or 15min walk into town where there’s all the food shops you’ll need. There’s a bit of a narrow step on the stairs which may* be an issue for elderly guests but that is the only note of caution, everything else is absolutely perfect, if you fancy a cosy stay in a beautiful location at great value.
