When you arrive, you'll step into a historic and breathtakingly scenic spot—the very reason why this heritage-listed church from the late 1800s was built right here. Beside it, "Frankie" awaits, your vintage escape nestled in Tasmania's stunning Tamar Valley, recently named one of Lonely Planet’s Top 5 Places to Visit in 2025. You'll find yourself immersed in a unique blend of old-world charm and modern comfort within this fully converted vintage caravan.
The space
Perched atop a scenic hill, you'll enjoy views of lush landscapes often visited by local wildlife. Explore the surrounding permaculture homestead and horse stud, and let the tranquility of this secluded spot help you unwind, reconnect, and experience the magic of Tasmania.
You'll sleep peacefully in a cozy queen-size bed and start your mornings with an alfresco shower across the deck, surrounded by nature. Cook fresh meals in a fully equipped kitchen or fire up the Weber BBQ for some outdoor grilling. Enjoy your meals or a glass of wine on the deck, with outdoor seating and a lush herb garden for fresh, flavorful touches.
As you venture out, you’ll discover you're perfectly positioned along Tasmania’s famous wine route, giving you easy access to nearby acclaimed vineyards. Whether you want to explore, relax, or savor the local flavors, Frankie and the Tamar Valley promise a memorable stay full of natural beauty and local charm.
Guest access
You'll have exclusive access to Frankie, the 1970s caravan, complete with the deck, BBQ, and outdoor seating area—all within a fenced, one-acre lot shared with the historic church. It’s a private and peaceful retreat for you to enjoy.

Feel free to contact us for our activities schedule, which may include unique experiences like a guided tour of the historic church and an opportunity to play the original late-1800s organ. We occasionally host two-day sourdough seminars in our artisan bakery for bread enthusiasts. You can also enjoy a farm tour with an introduction to our charming animals, including Trakehner horses, Belted Galloway cattle, graceful Light Sussex chickens, and more!
