The apartment was very basic and desperately in need of modernisation. The apartment balcony had the most fabulous outward looking view, but the same can’t be said when looking inward!
It was thoroughly depressing inside and we felt the property was misrepresented by the landlord. The living room redecoration had just about started, with some initial filling to the ceiling but the whole apartment needed completely redecorating.
We have never before stayed in a VRBO property but, if this is representative of such accommodation, it’s not for us!!
I wouldn’t mind, it wasn’t cheap, leading us to foolishly assume a higher standard, we expected far more.
Additionally, we were informed that the window shutter was supposed to be fixed but wasn’t, which was just one of several issues. Specific problems included a loose toilet seat in the second bathroom that was ready to fall off, a bin lid in similar disrepair, and an en-suite shower tray that felt like it was on the verge of collapsing. The living room furniture was also unclean, significantly worn, and outdated.
All in all we were extremely disappointed with our choice of apartment but weren’t going ruin our holiday thinking about the shortcomings but you needed to know.
It is disappointing that landlords are allowed to promote properties without accurately representing their true condition. This property has certainly been misrepresented, and I believe this point is indisputable.
