Great Stay

The apartment was clean and well appointed, in the center of the L'Eixample neighborhood. The host was very responsive and easily accommodated our early arrival.

Excellent Location

Large space, multiple rooms and more importantly multiple bathrooms. Easy to walk to different sites. Breakfast place just below the apartment. Overall great home base.

Superb location in the best part of Barcelona

We were 3 adults and 3 children and appreciated the ability to spread out in this long 'railroad' apartment. We ate dinner and breakfast on the back enclosed patio, which was lovely in early April. The location is terrific for exploring while also being steps from many great places to eat. Would recommend to friends

Very nice apartment - great location

The apartment was spacious and very nice. Two of the bedrooms had nice balconies and smaller bathrooms. The interior bedrooms had larger bathrooms. The location was great - in a very nice neighborhood within walking distance of markets, restaurants and shops. There was no hot water the morning we left. Other than that, it was a great experience.

perfect location, great layout

The apartment was perfectly located for walking around the city and accessible to La Rambla, the Gothic quarter and many attractions. The layout of the apartment was perfect for our family's needs. The apartment itself is a little in need of a fresh coat of paint and some of the furnishings have clearly been used hard by guests. The beds were very comfortable and the porches are wonderful. Overall it was an excellent stay and excellent value. With a fresh coat of paint I'd give it all 5 stars.

Perfect for a family or group

This space is located in a great neighborhood and is perfect for a group or family. The space is a little less updated than the photos and could use some attention to some updates/repairs however that is made up for in the configuration of the apartment and the location. Plenty of great restaurants bars and parks near by. Very secure and the elevator was a plus. Two bathrooms did have a sewer odor from the shower, but keeping the door closed made it manageable. Having two washers and drying racks was a plus for our group of 7. Toiletries, towels and cleaning products were supplied.

Their digital locks were a joke. Would not work.

Not good. Loved Barcelona and neighborhood. But I definitely would not recommend you stay at this unit. Hottibke communication with management. We were locked out and sat on the doorsteps for two hours late at night. Complet3 joke!

Not what was promised.. and wont offer a refund or at least a credit.

I checked in.. with lots of difficulty... They could find my reservation.. We need you to pay the tax before we send you the code or key to enter building.. HVAC is not Fans. HVAC didn't work.. Hole in ceiling.. Codes to enter apt very difficult.. Hookers working outside the building and entering to solicit. We exited this rental less than 2 hours to enter it. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

Loved our stay at this property, beautiful big space perfect for a group of friends. We were actually relocated prior to travelling to an upgraded property due to work being carried out on the original property which was lovely. The only couple of problems were that the instructions for finding the right apartment door once in the building were slightly unclear, we actually disturbed someone who lived in an apartment in the same building as we were trying the wrong door. Also the air conditioning was only working in half of the apartment and didn’t seem to be able to turn it on in some rooms, or off in others. We tried everything with the controllers but nothing seemed to alter the temperature which was a little frustrating. All in all though it was a lovely place to stay, well located for the ramblas, and with plenty of nearby supermarkets and restaurants. We had a lovely week, thank you!

Short Family stay in Barcelona

We were pleased to find a 4 bedroom and 4 bath apartment for 7 people, but once we checked in, we found one bathroom shower couldn’t be used because the shower door was off the hinges. I reported it and she said she would have her maintenance look at it after we leave. The shower in the master suite smelled like mold! A very strong smell. The showers need a deep cleaning to remove mold. Check in was seem-less. I really like the electronic key system. We had a hard time locating the apartment. We didn’t know it was on the 3 rd floor. In my opinion, bidet towels should also be provided for each person. We found 2 bath towels and one other towel in each bathroom. There is a nice cafe a few doors down from the apartment.

DON’T DO IT

The property absolutely did not live up to the photos which are clearly outdated. The mattresses were nasty, the walls and backsplashes in the kitchens were as well. The property managers were extremely slow to respond when we reached out about our issues. There was also no air conditioning in the apartment. Pretty sure when I originally booked, the post did mention it and I know for certain I filtered to include only locations that had it. But they swore up and down that they never said it. The location of the apartment was great and check in was easy but that is the end of the positives. I so wish I could upload photos to prove how nasty this place was

Awesome neighborhood, great apartment

The L'Eixample neighborhood is a great place to stay. There are cafes, restaurants, bars, grocery stores and 24h markets everywhere. Barcelona is a wonderful tourist city and even in a week we did not see everything. The apartment was wonderful. We were a group of 7 people across 3 generations and everyone had a place to call their own. It's easy to get a cross breeze by opening the front and back doors. The street side half is a little loud, but once you close the doors the street noise is greatly reduced. The back patio area was wonderful for meals and hanging out. Check in was super easy, they just turn on the electronic key. Check out was also super easy. No hassles there. The following issues did not affect our enjoyment much, but were nuisances. There were a bunch of small / medium maintenance issues - first the smoke detector starting chirping, then it turned out the A/C units didn't work, and finally one of the dishwashers wouldn't turn off. None of these was a deal breaker but gave the impression of a general lack of attention to detail. The good news is there is always someone checking the VRBO messages so they respond quickly, but they were not able fix the issues during our stay. We were OK without AC, but later in the summer when it gets really hot it would be an issue. Overall I would definitely stay again, the neighborhood and apartment layout were great. They just need to pay attention to the maintenance list.

In the interest of time, I will write briefly on the absolute abhorrent service we received here to spare your attentions and hopefully your money as well. My family and I planned our trip thoroughly and on time, however we were kept waiting for an hour under midday sun because the awful customer service could not bother themselves to give us the code to enter the building. Not only do the staff of the booking company have total disregard for their customers, but they are insolent, disrespectful, and even go as far as to lie about monetary details. In addition, you have to interact with an app and if you get somebody on the customer service they simple doesn’t care. We find out that orbitz use vrbo and they both doesn’t care. The rooms are obviously thrown together to appear modern, but ultimately just look cheap and the furnishings are uncomfortable and low quality. There is no air conditioning, which the company did not advertise, and the rooms are infernally hot during the day. This is a clear a deceptive practice as you will expect AC. The bathrooms reek of mold and mildew from the old pipes that run through the building. And if this wasn’t enough, the internet is the lowest quality I’ve ever had the displeasure to endure. The owners of the apartment surely chose the cheapest package to be able to say that they offered a place with internet connection- a bewilderingly blatant lie, as the three days we lived there were spent without been able to use.

Extremely disappointed

We stayed here for 5 days. The moment we entered the apartment it was super cold, it had no central heating, only radiators (this was my first experience with them) were provided that took 12 hours to make the temperatures tolerable! The windows in the hallway and bedrooms had loose latches due to which the hallway windows could not be closed properly and anyone could have climbed up into our apartment through those windows. The door from the patio to the living room kept opening up with wind due to loose lock mechanism, which made the living room super cold each time. Same happened to the window of the bedroom next to the patio. My toddler woke up and cried multiple times during the night as the room used to get so cold. We contacted the owner through a message via vrbo and was told radiators are the only thing provided for heating, and were asked to send pictures of the windows while we were struggling in a cold apartment. The baseboards in the kitchen were loose and fell apart with us just walking past them. There was no trash can in the kitchen, no trash bags were provided. Tiny slivers of soap were provided to be used by 7 people!! The elevator to the apartment kept getting stuck and my baby and i were stuck in the elevator for long enough to call the emergency line to have someone come and rescue us. I DO NOT recommend this apartment to anyone

Séjour en famille complètement raté

Dans un prochain courrier adressé à Abritel, je détaillerai les ennuis que nous avons dû subir, (notamment une nuit à l'extérieur, à cause d'une serrure défectueuse), des échanges avec le propriétaire restés sans réponse pour le remplacement de la serrure qui n'a eu lieu que le lendemain. Par ailleurs, les photos publiées ne correspondent pas à la réalité. (Elles ont correspondu à une époque, mais plus maintenant!

Excelente Ubicacion

La ubicacion del apartamento es excelente y todo queda a walking distance. Fueron super amables al dejarnos hacer el check in a las 10:00 a.m. porque el aprtamento estaba libre y teniamos mucho equipaje

Appartement spacieux situé dans un quartier agréable.

Bel espace, très bien pour une famille. Calme dans un quartier bien desservi par les bus. Notre interlocuteur a été très réactif quand nous avons signalé ce qui ne fonctionnait pas.
