“Super new and clean. Loved the open floor plan for visiting after our hikes in Acadia. Beds were very comfortable. House did not lack in any necessities. It was about a 35 minute drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Not exactly easy to run back to the house if you wanted a mid day break, but we knew the location when we booked and enjoyed the quietness of neighborhood. The host was extremely responsive. Would definitely stay here again. ”

“Renters, BEWARE!Unfortunately, what was advertised by the host was not the reality of the rental. “Spacious eight bedroom house” is actually two houses, 5 minutes apart. If our group had known this information, we would have chosen a different property. Our expectations of being together in one house was spoiled by the false advertisement listed on VRBO. If you have several small children, you will have to decide which families will be in the updated house versus the older house. This……

“We had a great stay here! It was quiet, clean, and private, while still being convenient to Acadia National Park. We loved staying on the western side of the island. The host, Becky, was fantastic. She made us feel welcome and went the extra mile when our late arrival meant we got there after the grocery and convenience stores closed. If you’re traveling with children, this house is especially a gem. There were toys and books for kids of all ages. If we come back to Acadia, we’d definitely stay……

“1st, we had to climb (literally) 40 steps to get to the apartment (from the back enterance). We're almost 80 years old and it was quite difficult! Definitely not for anyone with even minor disabities. Parking was horrible! No parking on the street or you'll get a ticket at 4am, and we were told the town is VERY strict about it. We had to park in back on a grass knoll. Next, ALL of the pictures of the rooms indicated that there was a kitchen. There was NO kitchen! The ONLY sink we had……
