"A nice cottage like accommodation with all you need, including the kitchen, easy parking, nice bathroom, ac, etc. The owner is nice. You can contact him via messaging (iMessage if you use iPhone). I don’t know French so I use the translation option to communicate and get response quicker. I booked through Expedia. It is better to contact the owner via phone for response. Close to beach. Nice mountain and ocean views!"

Gite Bois-Cannelle

10/10 Excellent

"The posted images reflect what you will see when you arrive. Each cabin has privacy but when outside in eating area you can hear other guests. The room and bathroom were spacious with the added outdoor covered eating area and small kitchen. The pool was refreshing after a day in the heat. The owner is on site and speaks a little English. For Americans since this is a Gite there are no bath products or extra TP (I did not know this). The Gite was difficult to find the first time - if it had been dark I would have been in trouble.As a solo traveler I felt safe and comfortable."

"Room and bathroom was beautiful and spacious. Very nice deck area attached to the room with gorgeous views. More breeze than downtown since it's up the hill a little. Walk to rooms is uphilk plus a flight of stairs. Beach is small but has great snorkeling. Large pool and 2 outdoor showers as well as changing rooms. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays which was when we visited. They did however provide the shuttle for free those evenings to access other restaurants. Breakfast was included and excellent: scrambled eggs, a variety of fruits, cheese, ham, a variety of pastries and fruit juices. Lots of ants, which they eventually sprayed but didn't clean up so that was a little gross."

"Had a good stay. Car needed as beach access is limited directly from property though there is a “ secret” beach a reasonable walk away. Food was good with quite large portions. Room and private patio and gardens were very good. Speaking some basic French would be very helpful to you though staff did their best and there were fluent English speakers around most of the time. You are definitely in France but the experience is worth it. "

"The room was neat and clean. A few things werr lacking such as a second glass and pool towels. We had to call for a receptionist to check us in, though she was therr fairly quickly The pool was nice. The location is grrat for La Soufriere visits! The breakfast was awesome and the ladies who served breakfast werr fantastic!"
