Boat-to-shore, the expedition to Mavulis (Y'Ami) Island is not for the faint hearted. This is the northernmost tip of the Philippines 🇵🇭. Any further and one will be crossing to Taiwan territory already. This island is uninhabited save for some soldiers who has a small detachment station there. Getting to the peak (719 feet) can be a bit challenging for people who are not used to steep trekking/climbing. But the view at the top is nothing short of breath taking! Singing "Lupang Hinirang" (the Philippine national anthem) while hoisting the Philippine flag was quite emotional. Proud to have been able to set foot on this island as not many have ventured here due to the island's extreme remoteness and challenging travel. #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines #Adventure #trovember #Outdoors #hiddengems
