"While the lodge is rustic, it is clean and grounds are beautiful. The lodge is peaceful and quiet. The outdoor pool is amazing. The rooms are clean and the view of the woods and wildlife from your private balcony is beautiful. Breakfast buffet was fresh and hot and plenty of traditional and healthy choices. Lunch and dinner are the same. Staff is also polite and helpful. We will be back. "

"This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was very dated and dusty, especially the curtains, and the sheets had stains. There was no hand soap, only a facial bar, and when the AC came on it left a terrible smell in the room. The check-in experience was also uncomfortable, with the staff member making strange small talk with my wife. The only positive was being able to park right in front of the room, which made loading and unloading easy. We wanted to leave early, but since we would not have received a refund, we decided to tough it out. I would not stay here again and would rather drive the extra 30 minutes to Lexington for a much better hotel."

"We were traveling with our dog and couldn’t have asked for a nicer or cleaner room. The staff was amazing and happily gave pets to our dog. We will be back."

"Kitchen had everything we needed, atmosphere & area was perfect for 4 ladies to spend time together. Host/owner very clear with directions & instructions. We left a Hen & Chickens plant for appreciation! Wish we could have enjoyed hot tub, but weather was just too chilly for us! Maybe next time!! "
