The gate @ Beechworth

The Gatehouse is a significant heritage listed building set among the Mayday Hills gardens in Beechworth. It is a fine example of a two storey Italianate architectural design built in the 1860s. The Gatehouse is located within a picturesque and extensive parkland of mature exotic and native trees and is the first building located on the beautiful oak lined driveway at the entrance to Mayday Hills.

Great value group accommodation in beautiful Beechworth, north-east Victoria

Accommodation for up to 18 guests in 6 guest rooms that feature either single, double or queen beds. Facilities feature a fully-equipped kitchen and laundry, living room with Austar, enclosed outdoor area and secure storage for bicycles and other personal equipment. The Gatehouse also has off-street parking for guests.

The tariff for The Gatehouse is $110 per room per night with a minimum of 2 rooms.

Relax and enjoy your stay with onsite facilities. Visitors can stroll the heritage gardens, play tennis on the nearby courts or football and cricket on the adjacent oval. The George Kerferd Hotel with its restaurant and wine bar is located only 200 metres away in the Mayday Hills Village. The Gatehouse is conveniently located only a short walk to town and its many shops and cafes.

Christine was a fantastic host who was super responsive and couldn’t be helpful enough. The property was excellent for a large family group (including several pets), with lots of character. The bedrooms and facilities were comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. The location was great, close to town and Sambell Lake, all easily within walking distance.

Family 60th celebration

Very relaxing place to stay. Warm and family friendly for all ages. Very easy to manage large numbers sharing the spaces, but also enough room for quiet time. No worries about "precious" things needing constant vigilance. Lots to do in the town and the immediate area around the Gatehouse. Fabulous walks. Highly recommended!

A great property for a big group

My family of adult children plus my elderly parents stayed at the Gatehouse over the Easter long weekend and had a great time. Having 6 large bedrooms was perfect for a big group and Christine was excellent to deal with.

Family celebration getaway

Thank you Christine. The house was plenty big enough for all of us. We enjoyed the tennis courts. Lake Sambell was a hit both afternoons we were there. Gorgeous township and look forward to coming to your area again.

Xmas Family Gathering

Great location for our family xmas with plenty of beds & bathrooms for our group of 8 adults and 6 kids. Could use some modernising and an extra living space would have been great when the weather turned wet and everyone was stuck inside. Good value overall.
