“Car park a treck if you have items to carry. Digital key code would not work setting alarm off. Told to wait 45 mins for someone to come and re set until she remembered emergency key in cupboard in hallway. “This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! “We stayed and on entering were very impressed with the size/decor and cleanliness. It had everything we needed as a party of 6. The location was quiet and we didnt see a soul. Had a driveway for parking.
We would stay again as it was perfect for us.
The conservatory would be nice cleared of spare beds and some nice furniture would be a great addition and some outside weeding is needed but these are just picky things, neither affected our stay.

“The apartment was spacious, modern and clean. We had everything we needed - including a hob and oven, a fridge/freezer and a washing machine, as well as the standard hairdryer, iron and ironing board. “It was just ok.
Location was excellent for us which is a big plus but let down by poor communications (no response to phone calls or emails at all). Check in instructions were sent, but after check in time. I wanted to confirm the arrangements upfront as it was getting to the stage where I thought I would need to arrange alternative accommodation.

“Was told by Expedia that I had the property to myself but when I arrived I realised I was sharing with 3 other people.
Property was supposedly called ‘the cottage’ but turns out this was next door’s place.
Parking was basically none existent in the end as the other people had their car(s) on the very small driveway.
Only things I can say were good was that the WiFi was a decent speed considering how rural the area was, and the bed was very comfortable.”
