“Was happy to be here. More so as they have a discotheque and karaoke in the same premises. The place is just off the main street. BUT the Howling Dogs was a real sleep spoiler at night. I did ask the authorities and read in the local newspapers that the government is trying very hard to curb the stray dogs by sterilization and saw many with their ears clipped indicating that that dog was sterilized. Its an issue all over Thimpu not just this hotel. What I did was quite unique. I carry a whistle……

“Overall the place is okay - great view of the valley and clean rooms. As the hotel is located on top of a mountain it's quite remote from any restaurant which makes you bit dependent on their in-house restaurant which isn't the best. Even after requesting the food to be less oily it was everytime floating in oil (might not be a big issue to some but let it happen for 4 days and then see), taste is not good either but the charge is exorbitant. The staff doesn't go any extra mile for anything,……

“Pros: room size, amenities, premises, food, staff, views from room/ resort. Had the best culinary experience in my entire Bhutan trip .... mostly from Indian cuisine standpoint. Great rooms, premises, sit out areas and scenic views from everywhere. Cons: a little off the town centre, off the main road. Not so easy to get public transport e.g. local taxis. The hotel taxis have exhorbitant rates, and charge 2-4x what local taxis would charge you for town drop (4 km), airport drop (14 km) etc.……

“Bhutan suites surprised us with the sheer size of the room and the amenities provided. The place is rated 3 star but the comfort is definitely much more. 15 mins walking distance from the clock tower, this place is a bit away from the hustle. The room balcony offers a magnificent view of the entire city with mountain ranges surrounding it. ”

“The location in Google map is absolutely wrong. We have to drive 60 km extra for the wrong google map settings. The resort is not in Bumthang , Jakar . Its is Chumey which is 30 km back of Jakar. The actual place of visit is Jakar only. Approach for the hotel from main road is pathetic. The car got stuck in middle of the muddy road. No light on the path evem. Difficult to search the location of the hotel. Very bad.”
