"Overall not a bad hotel, room clean but charging for everything, water, coffee ect and a fair distance to the town centre staff good and pool was just a plunge pool not a swimming pool apart from that not bad, breakfast ok but an additional 100p for the American breakfast .... Seems a bit steep"

"The restaurant staff was great — friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The rest of the service felt pretty laid‑back, and getting assistance outside the restaurant wasn’t easy. The place itself is quiet and feels private, which is nice, but the food overall is just average with nothing particularly special. We visited the herb garden and the staff there were friendly and knowledgeable, which was a good experience. The biggest inconvenience is the layout. The check‑in counter is extremely far from the rooms. It’s manageable on arrival, but checking out is a hassle because you have to walk a long distance with your bags. They have a golf cart that could easily help guests get to the port, but it just sits in the garage instead of being used. Other than the few standout staff, the overall experience is just okay."

"Positives: The room had an amazing sunrise, the breakfast area and breakfast food was amazing. The patio area was nice to sit and do some journal entries. We were able to park our rental car in front with no issue. It was a short 15 minute drive to the Oslob whale shark site. Negatives: The room shower smelled very very bad, we didnt even use it. I'm warning you. The safe in the room didnt work either. There is no elevator in the hotel, so you have to walk up a staircase. It was an average place and it suited our needs as a staging area for our Oslob experience."

"Knowing the room is facing the sun and oceanfront they might considering putting an AC because it is super hot, it’s like you’re in an oven. Good for people who wakes up at 5am and leave. "

"I recently tried the French fries, chopsuey, and escabeche, and I was really impressed with both the food and the service. The French fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, served hot and freshly cooked. They had a nice golden color and just the right amount of seasoning. The chopsuey tasted very fresh, with crunchy vegetables that were perfectly cooked—not overdone. The flavors were well-balanced and delicious. The escabeche was also excellent. The fish was tender and cooked just right, not dry at all. The sauce had a perfect balance of sweet and tangy, which made the dish even more enjoyable. What made the experience even better was the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and very accommodating, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. Overall, the food was fresh, well-cooked, and satisfying, and the service was great. I would definitely come back again."
