When I showed up, the man at the counter was difficult to understand and did not have my reservation, so I had to hope that they had a room available, they did and I was able to stay. The property is the only one in town, but it could use some TLC. It served its purpose, nothing spectacular.
GROSS! If I paid $29/nt.. Or $15/hr. But the cost did not match the absolute dump this place is.
"Non Smoking" rooms reek of smoke.
The filth and dirt on walls and doors is disgusting.
If the room was painted since 1980, I'd be very surprised.
Cigarette burns in the blanket.
I've slept in burnt out buildings in Iraq and Afghanistan that were 100x more pleasant.
Condemn this building. Burn it to the ground and build something at least acceptable to 3rd world conditions.

Okay place to stay.
It was good enough as we were in town for a funeral but I was disappointed to find no hair dryer. There was a spot on the wall for it but the management said no hair dryers.

Comfortable stay
The room was clean and I was surprised there was a microwave and a small refrigerator. I felt the stay was a good value. I checked into the room very late and the attendant greeted me courteously and quickly.
I booked a smoking room on the website and when I arrived I was told all rooms were non-smoking. I said that is the motel's responsibility to update it on hotels.com and like websites, but the manager failed to understand.

Bathroom a bit small. Electric plugs more accessible an 1 or 2 more plug. Only 2 in room one behind bed which you. Would have to move bed to use another in lamp base which was the most useable.
We had a nice, quiet and comfortable night staying here. Very clean and neat, comfortable bed as well. A great little place to stay passing thru the area, we will stay again if in the area.
Would have been much higher if the price had been reasonable. A great place if had been 70. 00 unfortunately we paid 140.00.

Only pet-friendly choice in town.
This is the only pet-friendly hotel in town.
It is close enough to downtown to walk to the stores and restaurants. There is a new place, The Brew House, that is pretty good: tasty food and brews.
The room was enough for one night. The bed was alright but seemed small for a queen-size.
The carpet was stained in many areas. The outlets had all separated from the wall then the space filled in with putty. One of the outlets would flicker when you plugged into it so we left it alone.
There was a sticky, candy-like goo on the back of the bathroom door. The bathroom door and door jam didn't fit together; you had to shove the door closed.
The coffee maker had a used coffee filter in it and the carafe stuck to the hot plate.
If the B&B down the road allowed pets I'd pay the little bit extra to stay there.

Only one in town.
Our plans changed and we wanted to cancel the last day of our reservation. I went to the office and talked with the manager/owner. His reply was,"Call Expedia and have the send me a cancelation e-mail. I called and talked to someone who had a very strange accent that was difficult to understand. She did ask for me to take my cell phone to the manager. I did, but at first the manager refused to talk to the lady. She asked for his e-mail address which he refused to give to me. Then he took my phone and to the lady that she should go to my account and cancel the reservation and send the cancelation notice to his Motel. He had what I called a heated conversation and hung up.
When I went to sign out and get a refund to my credit card. He refused, claiming that he did not receive a cancelation notice from Expedia. This was my first business with Expedia and will me my last one. I will sleep in my vehicle before I make a reservation through Expedia.
We stayed at this motel for one night while visiting our son at Fort Pickett. Management needs to monitor the traffic in the motel more closely. The room next door was running either prostitutes or drugs in and out all night. Strange cars would pull up, someone would hop out and run into the room, stay for 5-10 minutes or less, then leave. A few minutes later, another card would pull up and repeat the process. This happened ALL NIGHT LONG.
The room was clean - but that is about all that was positive about experience with property.
Asked for some additional pillows and were told no.
We were provided with one bath towel and washcloth for two people booked into room.
The bathroom was so tiny in our room that you had to stand inside the tub in order to close and open the door.
The bed was like sleeping on a concrete floor. I realize this is an older motel, but this mattress and box springs had to be from the 1970s! They were terrible. We ended up leaving early because we could not sleep - the bed was that uncomfortable. The frame on the bed was also bent, so the head of the bed was lower than the foot of the bed. It was like sleeping upside down. Absolutely miserable! I didn't expect pillowtops, but at least something comfortable.
It snowed about 6-8 inches during our stay. Motel management did not do anything to remove snow from the parking lots or sidewalks.
Very disappointed - especially for the price we paid for the room. Won't make the mistake of staying again.
Room smelled, and sheets had cigarette burns in them.

Don't stay here if you can avoid it.
I found this room to be far under what you would expect of a hotel for the money I paid. The room was small, and the bathroom was tiny. The bed was good, and they had a good TV. However, the staff interaction left me with a negative impression. When I inquired why a fee was added to my bill, the staff person did not have a good enough command of English to explain it to me. Apparently it was a fee related to Expedia. Overall, I found this hotel to be a poor value for the cost.
This was the only hotel near the retreat center an
This hotel really showed it's age there was not even a top for the ice bucket. The staff was very adamant about checkout. I might have to stay again because of location but you can believe I will explore every option to stay elsewhere. The security latch was none existence in my room. In summary room a crumby facility. The refrigerator was not functioning nor clean.
