This property is right on the San Juan River and 13 miles from Navajo Dam. We were there to fish the quality waters of the San Juan river and explore the many incredible ancient Pueblo sites and archeological wonders. Jamie, our host, was very communicative and got right back to us when we needed him. Like when we left our house keys in the house and the door was locked! He came without complaint and good humor.
The house is big with lots of room to spread out. The house is well supplied with dishes and pots and pans. There is filtered water available for drinking because the well water is sulfury, but it didn't bother us.
Our two dogs loved being there. At night the turkeys across the river were talking and it was a fun to hear them and get them talking back to us.
The fishing for trophy trout and browns on this famous river was fun, hard, but rewarding. The river was not in top shape the time of year we were there (April 1-12) but the reports from other times makes this a river of epic fishing. We will come back sometime when fishing conditions are better, but we found plenty of things to do anyway.
