「We booked this place as a homebase to explore Bodega Bay, Bodega, and Occidental for a Hitchcock lover's birthday weekend. The property was easy to find and absolutely charming! It had everything we needed for two couples and a small pup to enjoy for the weekend. Walking down to the foggy marina or along the road in the morning was magical and we loved the fenced in area for the dog to hang off leash. The smell of eucalyptus greets you when you walk out and there's a lovely view of the harbor. 」

「This home worked out well for our extended family of 7 to celebrate by MIL's birthday on the coast. While it is a short walk to the marina, there is no beach access. The house is clean and lovely. Lots of room for everyone. Beds are comfy. The location is central and within short driving distances to most shops, restaurants, and coastal access. Myra is easy to communicate with and very receptive. Would stay here again. Thank you.」

「This house was so perfect for our family. Huge window seats to watch the ocean, the wildlife and the fairway. I can’t overstate the beauty of the views. This is a smaller, very open concept house - which was perfect for my family because we came here to spend time together and relax (after a hectic family wedding, farther inland). My 80 year old parents stayed in the large open bedroom above. The stairs were very manageable for them. One of my adult kids stayed in a different sleeping...

「First of all, this place has the best views on the Sonoma Coast. The house was very clean and the owners made us feel welcome with a complimentary bottle of sparkling and fresh flowers on the counter. We had an excellent stay. We will definitely return in the future. 」

「Beautiful room, nice amount of space. The view was a little less than nice upon arrival because the estuary was at low tide so the outlook on the water was patchy. The following morning it was full and looked much better. In the room there was a single lamp between the two queen beds and it was hard to read a book with poor illumination. 「No phone in room to call housekeeping. Front desk very rude Poor customer service. Nobody to answer questions ! The shower only has half a door, very hard to keep water from spilling to the room floor. No way to get help if needed. 」

「We loved our stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and modern updates. Management was quick to respond and helpful. Pet friendly place with a pet area to potty. Would have liked a well lit pet area with a trash can nearby. But overall it was a great stay. They are still doing remodeling. Can’t wait to go back when all is done. Perfect location and easy to walk to nearby restaurants」

「The only small thing that I would mention for improvement would be if the reservation confirmation texts/emails stated the physical address of the property, or if the website for Hotel Dega stated the physical address of the property, or both. I had a little difficulty finding out what the address of this property is so that I could drive my car there.」

「Room did NOT look like the picture. Property is poorly maintained outside. Smoke alarm woke us up at 4am and didn’t stop. It felt like a low quality hotel, but it was clean. Clean, yes…but not at all what we expected . No reception and wifi did not work at all - it’s a public WiFi. The room didn’t match the price for the night. Wouldn’t stay here again unless they made some major upgrades/improvements.」
