"Hotel is a bit dated and the double room was on the smaller size, but adequate for our stay. Missed not having air conditioning, especially during this hot spell and only having a desk fan to keep cool. Location was excellent, with easy access to both north and south coastlines. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice."

"We are a family of 4 (kids 8 and 11) staying in a room set up as a family room - double bed and the kids sharing a sofa bed. The room was snug but really good. Each room is 3 old cells knocked into 1, with the bathroom taking up 1/3 or of the room. The bathroom was really good and enormous. The staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant served good bistro food, and you could sit out in the courtyard which was very pleasant. The breakfast was also great and worth the money. The hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The only issue (and this is no fault of the hotel) is that the town of Bodmin itself is…er…a dump! So you’re kind of stuck eating in the hotel unless you drive somewhere. But as a fun and interesting place to stay, and being very close to Lanhydrock, we had a lovely time. I think the other reviews slightly undersold it."

"The hotel was very helpful and friendly. We had air conditioned rooms which was amazing as it was a very hot and steamy night. The rooms were big and very comfortable. The restaurant and bar were nice and the food was good. I would definitely stay again."
Peaceful Cornwall Cabin Retreat – Close to Coast & Countryside

"I adored a peaceful solo week at Lynn’s cosy cabin while doing a course locally. The cabin had everything you could want, was clean, well-equipped with a super comfy bed, blackout blinds and only the sound of birds and the morning visit from the ducks and chickens waddling past outside the gate. I relished having my morning coffee and dinner in the peace of the garden and, as a woman on her own, felt super safe, as while you’re in a private setting, Lynn and her lovely family are on hand, a stones throw away and are friendly and helpful should you need them. A great spot to explore North Cornwall from too. I’d 100% stay again!"
