A beautiful spot with so much history- the photos do not do this amazing property justice!

Our family was honored to stay in this 120 year old cabin on this amazing homestead and be a tiny part of its history. Absolutely great location, lovely short walk to the waterfall, it was so relaxing and stepping back in time to the basics. We loved our time and can't wait to come back!

Great get away and super close to APP State

This was our third stay here and is our go to place for weekend visits to Boone ans APP. Love the cozy cabin and the dogs love running in the big front yard.

Cabin Getaway

Cabin is charming. Property was beautiful. The rushing water from the stream is relaxing. We had up to 11 deer visit at dawn and dusk everyday. Great to getaway and it snowing while there was amazing to experience.

A taste of a 1900's NC Mountain Home

Great convenient location, with a terrific yard for our dogs to play in. Cabin is cozy and clean, love the stone floor and huge logs the cabin was built with. Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here to tour App and the home was great. Loved our stay. The only thing I would offer my opinion for improvement would be a larger bed for the upstairs. We will stay here again.

Love this place

Such a great peaceful, restful, getaway spot. We love to come and just enjoy the cabin. If you wish to go into town to shop or eat it’s very close. We also love that the owners dog, Oreo spent a good amount of time laying on the porch, which makes the place feel like home.

Quaint Cabin

We really enjoyed the cabin a lot of history in the cabin. The view and the wildlife was amazing. The walk we took thru the woods and to the creek was delightful and a bit of a work out. The cabin is set in a beautiful place but yet close to blowing rock.

Beautiful and Relaxing Getaway

Beautiful cabin!!! My partner and I had such a wonderful and relaxing time staying at this cabin. Very close to town, so super easy to get around, but far away from the hustle and bustle of downtown so super peaceful. Our 3 dogs loved exploring the property. 10/10 stay, can’t wait to come back again sometime soon!!!

Excellent Visit for the Holiday

Had a splendid time here at this simple but very special place. Location is superb, owners are very accommodating and the space is peaceful and relaxing. Cozy Weekend Getaway

We loved this little cabin in the middle of a big field. At night it was so dark you could see all the stars. We had more than enough room for us and our dog. We hope to return on our next visit to the area!

Rest and relaxing

This cabin provides peaceful seclusion from the every day world. It's mountain location provides access to streams, hiking paths and a lovely front porch to sit and relax. We have stayed here 2 times and plan on returning. Great communication with the owner. Check in/ check out was very easy.

Beautifully simplistic and private.

We love everything about this place. We never left to go anywhere during our stay, we just played board games, sat by the fire, and watched dvds. Appreciated the new refrigerator and shower this year.

Mountain Living

No WiFi-No Problem Very close to Boone and Blowing Rock (seriously 10-15 minutes) but you feel 100 miles away. We took 2 Boston Terriers and they had a blast exploring the woods and trails. (Bring bug spray) Owners are super nice and are obviously good folks!
