Fourth bedroom has only two singles
Lovely home and views but the singles bedroom only has two beds not three. There was a twin mattress on the floor with no sheets for it or the sofa bed. The local management co was attentive and delivered sheets the second day. I think the listing should remove the three single bed icon as it was misleading. No adults want to sleep on the floor and we rented this place expecting a trundle or bed . The driveway is extremely steep. Take the four wheel drive suggestion seriously in cold weather!!! We had to scrape ice off driveway for over an hour(with a 4WD vehicle).

Wonderful visit, breathtaking views. Every need was anticipated, such as convenient outlets for plugging in phone chargers, lighting was plentiful. Would love to stay there regularly. This would be a fabulous cabin for holiday gatherings.

Great stay!
We had a great time at the house! A little disappointed with the dust and stuff but not a big deal. There was a full dishwasher when we arrived that we had to unload, but again, not a big deal. Overall, we had a great time! Thank you!

Spacious Cabin
This cabin was very spacious, which was very nice - kids on bottom floor and parents on main level. We loved the main floor as it provided all the comforts of our own home. I prefer a fireplace that produces heat, that's the only thing that I missed in comparison to other cabins and Visits to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Overall, we loved the accommodations and view! Truly am amazing getaway.

A Restful Retreat
My 15-year-old son and I had a wonderful time staying at this property. Because we come to the NC mountains quite often we weren’t looking to do a lot of tourist activities. We were looking for a truly restful and restorative long weekend and that is exactly what we had. Twice we hiked the stretch of the Mountain-to-Sea trail (MST) that is right by the house (about 3.5 miles round trip and thankful the info about the trail was on the fridge at the house!) and once we went into Boone and had lunch and wandered through shops. Otherwise we were content to have late breakfasts sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch looking at the spectacular view (my personal favorite) and cozy dinners in front of the fire while watching football on TV. I would absolutely rent this house again and highly recommend it but take it seriously when they say the driveway is super steep. (The price you pay for the amazing view at the top!) I definitely recommend coming to the house with an SUV or truck with a higher road clearance. I was driving my Yukon and coming down the steep driveway and turning onto the road I swear the underside of my front bumper scraped the road LOL. And even with my four-wheel-drive I would not attempt that driveway without chains if there was snow!! The first day we walked down to get to the MST and my 15-year-old son who plays lacrosse felt uncomfortable walking straight down the driveway and instead zig-zagged back-and-forth. But then again we are from flat Florida. 😊

Sunset Lodge Review
Awesome cabin for our group of 8. We really enjoyed the room we had in the cabin and the setting of the cabin. More positive than negatives and we would and probably will rent this location again. Two things to improve upon would be hot tub size - very small and really only large enough for two people, maybe three. If I owned the cabin this would be my first priority to increase my renters experience. The second thing would be a larger grill. It was cold, snow everyday which we loved. It was hard for all of us to use the grill in a timely manner. Lastly, when we got there the driveway and steps had far more than three inches of snow. We clear throughout the weekend but it would have been appreciated if the leasing company had someone out to clear the steps and driveway prior to us arriving. My wife is very pregnant and the steps going up to the front door we're to hazardous for her to use.

Outstanding!!
This is by far the BEST cabin rental we have ever had! Not only is the home warm and inviting, spacious and clean but extremely well built and maintained! Beds and pillows are comfy. There was plenty of room for 4 adult couples to stretch out and lounge around. The kitchen was PERFECT!!! Well equipped with everything we needed and then some! Large dining table with plenty of seating for 8. The view from this house was spectacular! We appreciated the high quality outdoor rockers and Weber grill. It was so peaceful sitting outside watching the sunset and the moon rise! The location of the home was great! I can't say enough about it.!! Pictures don't do it justice!! It's even better than we had imagined! We have all agreed to rebook the Sunset Lodge for our next get-a-way!

Family Get-Away
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. The view was stunning. The kitchen was well stocked and organized with everything we needed. There were plenty of extras-games, puzzles, magazines, etc. The location is great since it's between Boone and Blowing Rock. We were minutes from hiking at the Cone Center. We'lll definately be coming back!

Central Location and Great Views
Sunset Lodge is centrally located 2 minutes from Blueridge Parkway. 10 minutes from downtown Blowing Rock and easy access to all of the surrounding towns (Boone, Banner Elk, etc). We enjoyed the views. The home was fully stocked up (kitchen, games, etc), bring a little extra toilet paper and paper towels for a large party. The house was clean and easy access. Thank you for a great vacation.

INCREDIBLE
Our family of 6 just returned from staying in this beautiful, immaculate property. We have been going to Blowing Rock for 20 years and this house topped them all. It has the views, the room, the decor, the comforts, the location..it has it all! The house was well stocked with kitchen appliances, utensils and even had spices, paper towels, toilet paper, hand soaps, shampoo et.. like a hotel. The beds were very comfy and the view off the top deck cant be beat. It looked fake it was so perfect. There is a nice laundry room as well. The downstairs area was perfect for our 4 girls. there was a foosball and Ping-Pong table. We absolutely loved this place and for the first time ever instead of finding a new place next year like we always have we want to stay here again!!!

Sunset Lodge/Carolina Cabin Rentals
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Lodge! The weather was not the best but we had fun anyway! The house was great-wonderful accommodations. The only suggestion would be to update the kitchen pots/pans. They were not in good shape! It was a beautiful property and we would certainly consider renting it again. Very comfortable and well appointed decor.
We have been pleased renting through Carolina Cabin Rentals and have done so several times. They are customer service focused and we appreciate the cleanliness of the properties. Thanks for a nice experience!

Beautiful home with outstanding views
Beautiful home with outstanding scenic views. Everything about the home was first rate. This home had everything that we needed and much more. Joshua had the home prepared perfectly for us. All of the necessities for a great stay were available for us. We walked into a warm welcome at a five star cabin. The home had many unique features. The decks, kitchen and bedrooms were very nice. We are already talking about returning next summer to the same home. While the driveway was steep, it was no problem for our vehicles.

Great Summer Getaway
Sunset Lodge was a good home base for our group (2 couples, 3 kids) in the mountains for two weeks. Since we stayed at home more this summer (due to Covid), we really enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, relaxing on the porch and hiking the nearby trails. Beds were comfy, plenty of linens, everything was clean and in good order. A/C worked great when needed. Easy access to Boone and Blowing Rock. Could use a bit more outdoor furniture, an ice maker and some better lighting in the living room at night. We really loved the views and had no problem getting up and down the stairs or the driveway. Look forward to returning!

Very relaxing week
My family and I had a wonderful, relaxing week at the Sunset Lodge. The home and views are gorgeous! We enjoyed the hot tub and the huge kitchen! The location is great as well, close to Boone where we were able to easily get groceries as needed and also have them delivered. Only draw backs I would say are the very steep driveway to get to the home and the master shower smelled of mildew. Otherwise everything was perfect. Thank you for working with us to come a day early and leave a day early due to COVID-19.

Thanksgiving Stay at Sunset Lodge
This house is beautiful! The views are just as advertised & the location is very good. The kitchen was the best supplied we have ever seen! The layout worked well for our families :-)
The house was clean & comfortable & we enjoyed our stay! Kudos to the owners & the CCR rental folks :-)
The only downside that we saw...was the number of steps required to get all supplies/groceries into the kitchen. We were not expecting quite that much of a hike up...haha! But this is the "High Country"...so we managed. Thanks to everyone :-)

Great cabin
We travel to the mountains with friends once a year and this cabin was by far the best one! The view was great and it was nice to have a well stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook with. Definitely would recommend to others!
