Wonderful trip with the family

Mountain Retreat

An amazing house with very nice amenities. Lake view was very relaxing and enjoyable, especially with the outdoor fire place. The mountains were beautiful and the ride to Blowing Rock was easy 5 minute ride. The scenery on the 20 minute ride to Boone was absolutely spectacular!

Mountain stay

We had a great stay. The home was very nice and clean with a lake view. Larger and comfortable enough for our big group of adults and children. We liked the central location. We were able to enjoy Boone and Blowing rock. Plus not too far from Sugar Mountain. We Enjoyed the nice little treat! Our only complaint was that both the downstairs sliding door locks were broken. So we couldn’t access the back porch without going around the house. Would definitely stay again.

Beyond our expectations

We stayed at this beautiful home for a week in July. The descriptions and photos on line were spot on. When we walked in the front door we all gasped at the view of the lake out of the wall of windows. Bedrooms were lovely. Beds were very comfy. And oh! Those showers. Our master shower downstairs was so wonderful, we didn’t want to get out. My sons and grand daughter loved paddleboarding and fishing. Didn’t catch any large fish, but had a ball. We had a fire in the fireplace on the expansive back porch every evening and listened to the bullfrogs communicating with each other. We have rented other vacation homes from different companies. None of them compare to this.

Amazing neighborhood and view

First off I want to thank the property manager at BlueRidgeRentals. We arrived at the home a little early and called to see if we could get an early check in. She heard our younger daughter in the background and said “Let me see what I can do it sounds like you have a little one who might want to get out of the car and go run around and stretch her legs”. Great customer service. The location of the home is amazing, beautiful lake. We want to come back in the summer so we can walk the trails and enjoy the outdoors more. The home was very nice although a little dirty. The mirrors had spray on them and some of the appliances had stuff on the handles. You could tell the property needed a thorough dusting and vacuuming. The shower heads were also slightly clogged with hard water deposits but again nothing major. We’re not sure if because of the early check in the property was not cleaned with a final walkthrough or not so we were understanding. Overall I wouldn’t let that detract from the wonderful time we had with family enjoying blows by rock and Boone for the weekend. We will rent again.

Great Cabin!

My family loved our stay in the NC mountains at this cabin. The place was stocked with everything we needed and is in a great location for family activities. We also enjoyed catching trout in the lake and would definitely go back!

Great house for hosting a girl’s weekend!

We recently stayed at Lakeshore Retreat for a girl’s weekend and loved it. The house is beautiful as was the view of the lake and fall foliage. It had everything we needed to relax, and the outdoor fireplace was an extra treat.

Family vacation in the mountains

The home was very nice - very clean and the perfect set up and number of rooms for us and our grown children. Beautiful neighborhood with great walking trails and the lake. It is in a good location close to Blowing Rock and the Parkway. We enjoyed our time there and hope to return again soon.

We stayed for a long weekend of skiing and tubing and this home did not disappoint. Plenty of room for our family and all the supplies we needed to cook at home and relax after long days out on the mountains. Beautiful Lakeside Home

The property was fantastic, the home is new and extremely well furnished with all the comforts you can hope for. The lake and walking trail were terrific, multiple family walks and fishing took place, and it was easy to keep an eye on 10-12 year olds by the water. We loved the outdoor fireplace and rocking chairs on the large deck. The location is great, close to Blowing Rock and a short trip to Boone. We took day trips to Linville, Asheville, Grandfather Mountain and had a really pleasant experience.

Beautiful mountain getaway

This mountain home that was decorated beautifully and the windows, decks and layout took advantage of the peaceful lake views. The home was spotless and we felt very comfortable with the cleaning protocol. In addition, it had one of the best stocked kitchens I have ever seen and the outside fireplace provided a nice treat at the end of the day. Thank you for sharing your home!

Great property, great location

This is a great property for an upscale family vacation. The house is very nice, especially the back deck with the fireplace. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need for making family meals. The view is fantastic, especially the sunrises. Get up early, it’s worth it. The area has a lot of great attractions within minutes. Use the Parkway to get into town. It is faster with less turns.

Amazing house!

This house was awesome! Very spacious with plenty of room for 2 families. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and I so appreciated the kids items (plates, cups, forks, spoons, etc). Decor and furniture was well done and outdoor space was so nice. We spent most of our time on the back porch by the fire. The beds are not super comfy but we didn’t care given everything else was so well done. I highly recommend this house!

This gorgeous property is located on a beautiful catch and release lake so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It’s 12 minutes to Blowing Rock. Floor plan is perfect for a family or 2 with a primary suite on the main and second floor. Large open family room downstairs and bonus area upstairs for the kids and their legos! Kitchen has everything you need. Bring wood for the outdoor fireplace and enjoy your vaca!

Great vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. We stayed for a week and had so much fun. We had 4 adults and 5 kids. There was plenty to do and lots of space inside and outdoors for the kids. Wish we could’ve had fishing poles to fish in the lake. Also, one towel for each person wasn’t ideal. We ended up buying a few extra at the store. The house was close to all the attractions like skiing, tubing, gem mining, lots of hiking and horseback riding. We stayed busy and the kids had a blast. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would love to come back.
