“The house is great for large groups - we were a group of two extended families and the property was perfect for the kids to run around. The house itself could have been cleaner and we were disappointed by the small number of utensils provided - there should be at least enough forks and knives for the number of guests staying (I think we had 12 forks total for our group of 14 and there are a total of about 17 beds). Also the pots and pans were all almost unusable - the non stick coating was grimy……

The TV reception dropped off a few times and there aren’t enough toilet papers resulting in us having to buy some in town.”

“Stayed in the Red cottage. The cottage was roomy, clean and cosy. From the start, the hosts were welcoming provided valuable information about the cottage. The cottage itself was homely and spacious. Two bedrooms, a well presented bathroom and cooking facilities. The cottage also had a wood fire that warmed the whole cottage. The owners also provided many home comforts such as freshly baked bread, jams selection, freshly baked cookies, breakfast cereals, french press coffee and tea. They also……

“Property has alot of great features but does need some maintenance to make it fantastic. Located perfect for a trip to buller. Drying cupboard is a small room with a heater which i find dangerous. Generous sized rooms and living.”

“Mark the owner is absolutely lovely and so helpful! The photo's don't do it justice, the unit is even more beautiful and the surrounding bush is very peaceful. It has everything you need if you're keen to just hybernate for some peace away from work/ kids etc and also lots of beautiful bush tracks and creeks to explore nearby. “We loved the Miner's Cottage and would stay again, the only thing is there is no internet access if you do need it. Also you need to bring your own shampoo as this isn't provided.. It may be a good idea to take some bottled water as you have to boil the water before you can drink it. Other than that we loved it, Andy was very friendly, the Cottage was lovely the bed was really comfortable, lovely walks along the river, we didn't want to leave.. Thanks for a lovely stay and for the fresh egg's……
