It had the feeling of being deep in the woods but it’s actually within a few minutes of Boothbay center and I’m talking 5 to 6 minutes of drive time. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever utensils we needed to prepare meals at home if we chose. We loved our stay in this sweet little cabin and had a great time exploring Boothbay and surrounding areas. The owners were extremely accommodating and responsive and……

“A very quaint, cute, little cabin close to BBH. Probably could have walked to town, but it was a bit of a hike with littles. Cabin had all the amenities we needed and then some. Could have been cleaned up a little more (storage under the house, knickknacks a bit dusty) but it was a nice stay. :)”

This great little cabin has the perfect front porch for a game of cribbage, a fully stocked kitchen for cooking, and cozy charm on a rainy day to get over your whale watching sea sickness in front of the fire. An invigorating walk away you can get the best blueberry pie you will ever have, eat breakfast at Waves cafe, or go kayaking to the public Island and get a tour of the light……

“I used to live in a log cabin in Westcliffe,,Colorado many years ago. It was wonderful staying in the Sprucewold log cabin during my visit in Maine. My favorite part of log cabin was the large wood-burning stone fireplace, which I shared with my Navy military support organization through a Zoom session. ⚓️🇺🇸”

“Nice little cabin that’s close to town. The only thing is that it’s within 500 ft of multiple other cabins so there’s no privacy. “Private beach” means beach you have to wonder around to find. There’s no water view from this cabin, or anywhere to sit outside and even have a little fire. The walk up to cabin is steep, so just be aware! They’re no railing, it’s just rocks and tree roots, so sort of unstable. The cabin itself is nice. It’s your typical Maine cabin. There’s a tv with spectrum cable……

“It is a cute cabin but needs some serious maintenance. The entry slope would be improved by stepping stones along the very appropriate gravel path. It is a steep path and the stones can be slippery and awkward. The inside front door would benefit from a "wipe-your-feet" mat. The microwave, dishwasher and stove are nicely upgraded although we only used the microwave as we were just 2 and mostly ate out. There are 2 good heaters, one up and one down but they do not have fans so they do not heat……

“We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Authentic vintage experience! Off course, if your are looking for a neet and sophisticate lodding, it might not be the place for you… but it was perfect for us! Very well located, near a private beach with 2 kayaks and chairs for our convinience. Also very near to the action of Boothbay Harbor that was a nice discorery! “My husband and I stayed two nights, arriving late in the afternoon. We had no difficulty finding or getting into the property. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were out doing things in the area most of the time, but did enjoy a slow, quiet morning and loved being able to walk to the nearby park and enjoy the view. We were also in the apartment early one evening because of light rain, just reading and checking emails, etc., and missed the basics for preparing our own food.……

“Beautiful home that is a great proximity to Boothbay Harbor downtown. The pond is very nice but the water level was very low during our stay in March and there were no boats available as described in the listing. It is unclear whether this is something to note for all offseason travelers”
