"Getting to lake from house was treacherous for older adults. Not good place to tie boat during day or nightly. House was well supplied neat and served us well for group of 15. Enjoyed our stay. Driveway was not a problem. Good communication with host."

"We fully enjoyed our 2-night stay at the Cedar Creek Ranch as it was a great location for our boys golf trip for 2 rounds of golf at the White Bluffs golf courses, a very convenient short drive from the property. The size of the property and house provide excellent privacy and quietness for a very relaxing atmosphere, and the rustic nature of the accommodations was quite charming for many of the city boys. The greatroom is an awesome space, very, very spacious with expansive views of the grounds and lake behind the property. Lots of comfortable seating, tables and chairs for games, especially our evening poker games. We had ample rooms and beds to spread out my guests for sleeping arrangements. The A/C and ceiling fans kept us very comfortable at all times. Our only problem was not having enough time in our stay to enjoy all the great amenities, such as the outdoor cooking and dining areas or a fire in the pit. I am already thinking about some kind of other gathering when we could return in cooler weather to enjoy all aspects of the property."

"My wife and I stayed at this property for a weekend getaway. The property and our stay was absolutely fantastic! The house is very well decorated, extremely welcoming, and amazingly comfortable. The property comes with everything one would need, whether dining in or out. The seating area and scenery overlooking the river is beautiful and relaxing. To top everything off, the property host, Linda, was amazing. She provided every piece of information we needed before we asked. Throughout the stay, she checked in to make sure everything was ok. She is such a sweet person. We highly recommend this property and we look forward to returning again in the not-too-distant future."

"Our grandkids rode in the Waco Wild West in 2023 and 2026. We stayed at Shady Acres both years and couldn’t be more pleased. The hosts are wonderful and very communicative. We had fresh eggs and comfy beds in the cutest house on the farm where we could say hello to the horses and cattle. 23 minutes to Waco…pfttt..,that’s nothing when you’re from Texas. I highly recommend Shady Acres!!"
